What is the 10 1/2" x 13" Value Rosewood Piano Finish Plaque?

Item VPN11013 is a plaque in wood, chosen for how well it takes a mark and how long that mark lasts. It measures 10 1/2" x 13".

Wood carries a warmth that metal and acrylic do not, and that is why it keeps showing up on service awards and retirement pieces where the message is personal rather than corporate. That is the difference between something kept and something replaced.

Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. On this substrate specifically: laser engraving burns directly into the grain for a permanent mark. Expect slight tonal variation between pieces.

Gift tier. The economics stop being about impressions and start being about the specific relationships you spend it on. Concretely: $42.30 each at 1-11, $26.23 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 9 in x 10 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.

Common uses

Service awardsWorks well for service awards, where the plaque format does what a printed handout cannot.
Donor recognitionBuilt for donor recognition. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Sponsor and partner recognitionSponsor and partner recognition is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Internal contests and incentivesA tangible prize outperforms a gift card for exactly the reason you would expect. It stays on the desk.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.
Team and department awardsRecognizing a group without the cost or ceremony of individual crystal for every person.
Fundraising and donor recognitionThanking the people who gave, in a form that quietly encourages the next person to.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. If you are marking five or ten years of someone's working life, the piece has to carry weight. Literally and otherwise. Personalization with the individual's name is what converts a company gift into a personal keepsake, and it is the single highest-leverage decision in a recognition program. An imprint area of 9 in x 10 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Too good to scatter. Pick the recipients deliberately.

2

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Donors read the gift as a statement about stewardship. Something visibly expensive can cost you more in confidence than it earns in goodwill, which is why restraint and a personal inscription usually outperform scale in this sector. Volume takes it to $26.23, which widens the list without cheapening it.

3

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Student-facing items live rough. They go in backpacks, get left outdoors and are rarely cleaned, so durability matters more than finish. Faculty and donor gifting is the opposite problem and deserves an entirely separate specification. The gesture is the product here. Spend the thought, not just the budget.

4

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Challenge coins, unit recognition, retirement and commendation pieces all carry established conventions. Sourcing compliance and documented lead times usually matter as much as the item itself. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. At $42.30 before breaks, name the recipients rather than filling a table.

5

Faith & Community Organizations

Faith communities give to mark moments rather than to advertise. These pieces are given once and kept for a lifetime, so the failure mode is not looking cheap but dating badly. Restrained typography and no year-specific styling means the piece still reads well in twenty years. Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. This reads as a gift. Give it to people you chose, not people who walked past.

6

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. The order arrives before the results do, which means engraving strategy is the real decision. Generic plates with a separate engraved insert let you produce early and personalize late, and that is usually the difference between hitting the date and missing it. Laser engraving burns directly into the grain for a permanent mark. Expect slight tonal variation between pieces. Worth personalising individually at this price; the response rate justifies it.

What do buyers ask about VPN11013?

What does it actually cost at quantity?

Most orders land near 48-95, which prices at $33.84 a piece. The published ladder on VPN11013 runs from $42.30 a piece at 1-11 down to $26.23 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.

Can I order more later and have them match?

Re-orders reproduce rather than reinterpret. We keep the approved artwork on file against the item number, so a re-order runs from the same file. On natural materials the base itself can shift a little between batches, so tell us if an exact match matters. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows more than 1,000 of VPN11013 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

How should this be cared for?

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight. VPN11013 measures 10 1/2" x 13" and is made of wood. Wood carries a warmth that metal and acrylic do not, and that is why it keeps showing up on service awards and retirement pieces where the message is personal rather than corporate.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on VPN11013 is 9 in x 10 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

How is this decorated?

We run laser engraving on VPN11013 as standard. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved. We can also run UV Printing on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on VPN11013 is 9 in x 10 in. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.
