What is the 10" Silver Metal Golfer Silhouette on a Crystal Golf Ball & Base?

10" Silver Metal Golfer Silhouette on a Crystal Golf Ball & Base (CRY146S): a trophy where Full-lead crystal with high refractive brilliance and hand-finished edges does most of the work. It measures 10". This is the silver colorway.

Lead content increases the refractive index, which is the technical reason lead crystal throws more light and looks noticeably more brilliant under display lighting than ordinary glass. It also adds weight, which is a large part of why crystal reads as a premium award. That is the difference between something kept and something replaced.

Trophies photograph well, that matters when the award is going to be posted before it is shelved. Sand carving produces the deepest, most tactile mark. Laser engraving is faster and better suited to fine text and small logos.

This is a flagship piece. It is bought for the one or two moments a year that genuinely warrant it, and it is expected to be on display for years afterwards. Concretely: $200.00 each at 1-11, $124.00 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 3 in x 4 in.

Sand Carving

Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip.

Best for

Crystal and glass awards where depth and presence matter more than color.

Color

Frosted white, optionally color-filled.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

Color Fill

Engraved or carved recesses are filled with pigment. A permanent engraved mark that reads in brand color rather than substrate color.

Best for

Metal and crystal where the logo must be recognisably on-brand.

Color

Matched to Pantone where the recess allows.

Artwork requirements

  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • Supply Pantone (PMS) references for any color that has to match exactly.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Artwork we redraw stays on file under your item number, so the next order runs from the same corrected file.

Common uses

Sport and league awardsWorks well for sport and league awards, where the trophy format does what a printed handout cannot.
CompetitionsWorks well for competitions, where the trophy format does what a printed handout cannot.
Internal contestsWorks well for internal contests, where the trophy format does what a printed handout cannot.
Customer loyalty tiersA physical marker of status that an account dashboard cannot replicate.
Team and department awardsRecognizing a group without the cost or ceremony of individual crystal for every person.
Renewal and retention giftsTimed to the contract date rather than the calendar, which is when the recipient is actually paying attention.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Recruiting and onboardingIncluded in offer packs and first-day kits, where the object is doing culture work from the very first hour.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Participation medals for the field, distinct pieces for placegetters, and something with real presence for the overall champion. Production timing is usually the binding constraint, so lock artwork well before the event rather than after the results are known. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. Bought for the one occasion a year that genuinely earns it.

2

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. An imprint area of 3 in x 4 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. A centrepiece, not a run. Expect it on display for a decade.

3

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. Consistency is what makes a recognition program credible. If a ten year award looks better this year than it did last year, everyone who got last year's version notices. Lock the specification and the supplier, and treat the item list as something you change deliberately rather than annually. The piece the room looks at. Price it as an event cost, not merchandise.

4

Weddings, Reunions & Milestone Events

Personal events are the one segment where the recipient genuinely wants the item personalized. Names, dates and short inscriptions turn an ordinary object into something kept for decades. Quantities are modest and lead times are unforgiving, which makes production scheduling the thing to get right. This is the one people stand next to in the photograph.

What do buyers ask about CRY146S?

Can I see a proof before you produce the order?

Always, and we do not start without written approval. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing. Once approved, the proof becomes the specification for the run, so check the spelling and the placement carefully. The personalization area on CRY146S is 3 in x 4 in.

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on CRY146S runs from $200.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $124.00 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

How is this decorated?

We run sand carving on CRY146S as standard. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip. We can also run Laser Engraving and Color Fill on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on CRY146S is 3 in x 4 in. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Stock on CRY146S is confirmed when you order. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

How should this be cared for?

Hand wash only with a soft cloth. Never dishwasher. CRY146S measures 10" and is made of crystal. Lead content increases the refractive index, which is the technical reason lead crystal throws more light and looks noticeably more brilliant under display lighting than ordinary glass.

What is the minimum order for CRY146S?

CRY146S can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on CRY146S runs from $200.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $124.00 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on CRY146S is 3 in x 4 in.
