What is the 14" x 17" Rosewood Piano Finish Frame with Brushed Gold Metal Backing (Assembled)?

A working plaque. Solid wood with a natural grain and a finished surface. It measures 14" x 17". This is the gold colorway.

Worth knowing before you order: wood carries a warmth that metal and acrylic do not, and that is why it keeps showing up on service awards and retirement pieces where the message is personal rather than corporate..

Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. Laser engraving burns directly into the grain for a permanent mark. Expect slight tonal variation between pieces.

This is the award the room looks at. It carries the weight of the moment, which is why it is priced as a single line rather than a run. Concretely: $211.50 each at 1-11, $131.13 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 10 in x 10 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.

Common uses

Service awardsService awards is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Donor recognitionSpecified regularly for donor recognition. The imprint area at 10 in x 10 in is sized for exactly that job.
Sponsor and partner recognitionBuilt for sponsor and partner recognition. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Sponsorship and partner thanksGiven to the people who funded or enabled the work, in a form they can keep visible.
Remote team welcome kitsShipped to a home address, which for a distributed team is the only physical touch the company gets.
Internal contests and incentivesA tangible prize outperforms a gift card for exactly the reason you would expect. It stays on the desk.
Fundraising and donor recognitionThanking the people who gave, in a form that quietly encourages the next person to.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. The plaque format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. Bought for the one occasion a year that genuinely earns it.

2

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. A centrepiece, not a run. Expect it on display for a decade.

3

Faith & Community Organizations

Faith communities give to mark moments rather than to advertise. Baptisms, confirmations, ordinations, volunteer milestones and building dedications all call for keepsakes carrying a name and a date. Understated decoration outperforms bold branding almost every time in this segment. Wood carries a warmth that metal and acrylic do not, and that is why it keeps showing up on service awards and retirement pieces where the message is personal rather than corporate.. The piece the room looks at. Price it as an event cost, not merchandise.

4

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Awards are read as a hierarchy whether or not you intended one. If the participation piece and the champion piece look similar, the champion feels short-changed, and that is remembered longer than the result. This is the one people stand next to in the photograph.

5

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. Consistency is what makes a recognition program credible. If a ten year award looks better this year than it did last year, everyone who got last year's version notices. Lock the specification and the supplier, and treat the item list as something you change deliberately rather than annually. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. Reserved for a milestone big enough to justify the line item on its own.

6

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Recognition pieces for major donors and board members are the clearest win: they are relatively few, they are highly personal, and they materially affect renewal. For event merchandise, price the item to sell rather than to give. An imprint area of 10 in x 10 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. At $211.50 before breaks this is a once-a-year piece.

What do buyers ask about F5058GD?

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes, and it is the right way to brief us. Tell us the date the box has to be open rather than the date you want it shipped, and checkout works the schedule backwards from there. It refuses a date it cannot keep rather than accepting it and missing it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

Can I see a proof before you produce the order?

Yes, and nothing runs until you have signed it off. Read it properly rather than skimming, because the approved proof is the specification we produce against. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on F5058GD is 10 in x 10 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

How long does production take?

Door to door at standard speed: a day for the proof, 3 to 5 business days in production, then 1 to 5 business days in transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on F5058GD runs from $211.50 a piece at 1-11 down to $131.13 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

Can I order more later and have them match?

Yes. We keep the approved artwork on file against the item number, so a re-order runs from the same file. Material batches can vary slightly on natural materials, which is worth knowing if color matching across orders is critical. The published ladder on F5058GD runs from $211.50 a piece at 1-11 down to $131.13 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

What is the minimum order for F5058GD?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on F5058GD. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on F5058GD runs from $211.50 a piece at 1-11 down to $131.13 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
