What is the 15" x 18" Cherry Finish Plaque?

Item CFP18 is a plaque in wood, chosen for how well it takes a mark and how long that mark lasts. It measures 15" x 18".

Wood carries a warmth that metal and acrylic do not, and that is why it keeps showing up on service awards and retirement pieces where the message is personal rather than corporate..

Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. Laser engraving burns directly into the grain for a permanent mark. Expect slight tonal variation between pieces.

This is relationship spend. Key accounts, long service, the people who genuinely moved a number: the list should be short and every piece should carry a name. Concretely: $45.90 each at 1-11, $28.46 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 10 in x 10 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.

Donor recognitionA natural fit for donor recognition, which is one of the settings this plaque was specified for.
Sponsor and partner recognitionSponsor and partner recognition is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. The plaque format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. Give this to the handful of people who genuinely moved the number.

2

Faith & Community Organizations

Faith communities give to mark moments rather than to advertise. Baptisms, confirmations, ordinations, volunteer milestones and building dedications all call for keepsakes carrying a name and a date. Understated decoration outperforms bold branding almost every time in this segment. At this price the recipient list should fit on one page.

3

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Awards are read as a hierarchy whether or not you intended one. If the participation piece and the champion piece look similar, the champion feels short-changed, and that is remembered longer than the result. Wood carries a warmth that metal and acrylic do not, and that is why it keeps showing up on service awards and retirement pieces where the message is personal rather than corporate.. Executive tier. Treat the engraving as carefully as the invoice.

4

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. Consistency is what makes a recognition program credible. If a ten year award looks better this year than it did last year, everyone who got last year's version notices. Lock the specification and the supplier, and treat the item list as something you change deliberately rather than annually. Even at volume it holds $28.46, which tells you what tier this is.

5

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Recognition pieces for major donors and board members are the clearest win: they are relatively few, they are highly personal, and they materially affect renewal. For event merchandise, price the item to sell rather than to give. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. Spend it where the relationship is worth more than the invoice.

6

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. An imprint area of 10 in x 10 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. At $45.90 before breaks this is relationship work, not advertising.

What do buyers ask about CFP18?

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on CFP18 runs from $45.90 a piece at 1-11 down to $28.46 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes, and it is the right way to brief us. Tell us the date the box has to be open rather than the date you want it shipped, and checkout works the schedule backwards from there. It refuses a date it cannot keep rather than accepting it and missing it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

Can I order more later and have them match?

Yes. We keep the approved artwork on file against the item number, so a re-order runs from the same file. Material batches can vary slightly on natural materials, which is worth knowing if color matching across orders is critical. The published ladder on CFP18 runs from $45.90 a piece at 1-11 down to $28.46 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

What does it actually cost at quantity?

Most orders land near 48-95, which prices at $36.72 a piece. The published ladder on CFP18 runs from $45.90 a piece at 1-11 down to $28.46 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.

What artwork do you need from me?

Vector artwork is ideal (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) with all type converted to outlines. High-resolution raster at 300 dpi or better also works, and a logo saved from a website is worth sending anyway. We check it against the 10 in x 10 in personalization area and tell you before you pay whether it holds up at that size.

What is the minimum order for CFP18?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on CFP18. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on CFP18 runs from $45.90 a piece at 1-11 down to $28.46 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
