What is the 15" x 21" x 3/4" Walnut Airflyte Plaque with Round Corners and 2 Keyslots?

The 15" x 21" x 3/4" Walnut Airflyte Plaque with Round Corners and 2 Keyslots is a plaque built around Solid walnut with a deep natural grain and a hand-finished surface. It measures 15" x 21" x 3/4".

Walnut is the darkest of the common domestic hardwoods, which gives engraving somewhere to sit. Grain varies piece to piece. An argument for it, not against it, on an award meant to feel individual.

Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. Laser engraving produces a near-black mark against the walnut, one of the highest-contrast wood results available. The two together are why this item re-orders.

A centerpiece rather than a program. Budget it as an event cost, because that is what it is, and expect it to be photographed. Concretely: $302.25 each at 1-11, $187.40 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 10 in x 10 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.
  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
  • If brand color accuracy matters, give us the Pantone numbers rather than a screenshot to match.

Common uses

Service awardsA natural fit for service awards, which is one of the settings this plaque was specified for.
Donor recognitionSpecified regularly for donor recognition. The imprint area at 10 in x 10 in is sized for exactly that job.
Sponsor and partner recognitionBuilt for sponsor and partner recognition. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Remote team welcome kitsShipped to a home address, which for a distributed team is the only physical touch the company gets.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Customer loyalty tiersA physical marker of status that an account dashboard cannot replicate.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Faith & Community Organizations

Faith communities give to mark moments rather than to advertise. Baptisms, confirmations, ordinations, volunteer milestones and building dedications all call for keepsakes carrying a name and a date. Understated decoration outperforms bold branding almost every time in this segment. The plaque format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. Bought for the one occasion a year that genuinely earns it.

2

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Awards are read as a hierarchy whether or not you intended one. If the participation piece and the champion piece look similar, the champion feels short-changed, and that is remembered longer than the result. A centrepiece, not a run. Expect it on display for a decade.

3

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. Consistency is what makes a recognition program credible. If a ten year award looks better this year than it did last year, everyone who got last year's version notices. Lock the specification and the supplier, and treat the item list as something you change deliberately rather than annually. Walnut is the darkest of the common domestic hardwoods, which gives engraving somewhere to sit. The piece the room looks at. Price it as an event cost, not merchandise.

4

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Recognition pieces for major donors and board members are the clearest win: they are relatively few, they are highly personal, and they materially affect renewal. For event merchandise, price the item to sell rather than to give. This is the one people stand next to in the photograph.

5

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. Reserved for a milestone big enough to justify the line item on its own.

6

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. An imprint area of 10 in x 10 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. At $302.25 before breaks this is a once-a-year piece.

What do buyers ask about ZX413?

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on ZX413 runs from $302.25 a piece at 1-11 down to $187.40 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on ZX413 is 10 in x 10 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

What artwork do you need from me?

Send vector if it exists, raster at 300 dpi if it does not, and whatever you have if neither. The personalization area on ZX413 is 10 in x 10 in, and we redraw or re-proportion anything that will not survive it. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

Is there a setup charge?

What happens if something arrives damaged?

We replace damaged pieces. Send a photograph and the item number within 10 days of delivery and we handle the carrier claim ourselves. If the box arrives visibly damaged, write that on the freight bill before signing. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

There is no minimum beyond one piece on ZX413. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises.
