What is the 4th Place Pinked Ribbon?

The 4th Place Pinked Ribbon is a award ribbon built around Quality materials selected for decoration and everyday durability. It measures 2" x 8".

Built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer. That is the difference between something kept and something replaced.

Ribbons are the cheapest way to recognize a full field of participants rather than only the winners. On this substrate specifically: decoration method is matched to the substrate so the mark is permanent rather than printed on top.

At this level the item is buying attention rather than gratitude. Order enough to be generous with it, because restraint here saves very little and costs reach. Concretely: $1.15 each at 1-11, $0.71 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 4.8 in x 4 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Artwork we redraw stays on file under your item number, so the next order runs from the same corrected file.
  • Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.
  • Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.
  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.

Common uses

Fairs and showsA natural fit for fairs and shows, which is one of the settings this award ribbon was specified for.
School eventsWorks well for school events, where the award ribbon format does what a printed handout cannot.
Placement recognitionWorks well for placement recognition, where the award ribbon format does what a printed handout cannot.
Fundraising and donor recognitionThanking the people who gave, in a form that quietly encourages the next person to.
Sponsorship and partner thanksGiven to the people who funded or enabled the work, in a form they can keep visible.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Weddings, Reunions & Milestone Events

Personal events are the one segment where the recipient genuinely wants the item personalized. The deadline is absolute in a way it is not in any other segment. A wedding does not move, which means production scheduling, not selection, is where these orders fail. Lock artwork six weeks out and the rest is straightforward. Ribbons are the cheapest way to recognize a full field of participants rather than only the winners. Down to $0.71 at volume, which is where this stops being a cost.

2

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Student-facing items live rough. They go in backpacks, get left outdoors and are rarely cleaned, so durability matters more than finish. Faculty and donor gifting is the opposite problem and deserves an entirely separate specification. Decoration method is matched to the substrate so the mark is permanent rather than printed on top. Buy for coverage. The arithmetic rewards it and the budget will not notice.

3

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Participation medals for the field, distinct pieces for placegetters, and something with real presence for the overall champion. Production timing is usually the binding constraint, so lock artwork well before the event rather than after the results are known. The award ribbon format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. At $1.15 before breaks it is cheap enough to hand out without counting.

4

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Donors read the gift as a statement about stewardship. Something visibly expensive can cost you more in confidence than it earns in goodwill, which is why restraint and a personal inscription usually outperform scale in this sector. The unit cost here is low enough that reach matters more than restraint.

What do buyers ask about RIB34?

What happens if something arrives damaged?

We replace damaged pieces. Send a photograph and the item number within 10 days of delivery and we handle the carrier claim ourselves. If the box arrives visibly damaged, write that on the freight bill before signing. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

Is there a setup charge?

No. Setup is free on every order at every quantity. Art preparation, machine setup and your digital proof are built into the price, with nothing added for them later. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. RIB34 sells from a single unit at $1.15, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on RIB34 is 4.8 in x 4 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes, and it is the right way to brief us. Tell us the date the box has to be open rather than the date you want it shipped, and checkout works the schedule backwards from there. It refuses a date it cannot keep rather than accepting it and missing it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

How is this decorated?

We run laser engraving on RIB34 as standard. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved. We can also run UV Printing on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on RIB34 is 4.8 in x 4 in. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

What is the minimum order for RIB34?

RIB34 can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on RIB34 runs from $1.15 a piece at 1-11 down to $0.71 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on RIB34 is 4.8 in x 4 in.
