What is the 9" x 12" Cherry Finish Plaque with Gold Cove?

A wood plaque, catalogued here as GRC912. The substrate was picked for decoration quality first and appearance second, which is the right order. It measures 9" x 12". This is the gold colorway.

Worth knowing before you order: wood carries a warmth that metal and acrylic do not, and that is why it keeps showing up on service awards and retirement pieces where the message is personal rather than corporate..

Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. Laser engraving burns directly into the grain for a permanent mark. Expect slight tonal variation between pieces.

This reads as a considered gift, which means it rewards a named list and wastes its advantage on a table by the door. Concretely: $22.05 each at 1-11, $13.67 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 7.5 in x 10 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.
  • A digital proof comes back to you first, every time. Production starts on your written approval and not before.

Common uses

Service awardsWorks well for service awards, where the plaque format does what a printed handout cannot.
Donor recognitionBuilt for donor recognition. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Sponsor and partner recognitionSponsor and partner recognition is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Remote team welcome kitsShipped to a home address, which for a distributed team is the only physical touch the company gets.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.
Team and department awardsRecognizing a group without the cost or ceremony of individual crystal for every person.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. Consistency is what makes a recognition program credible. If a ten year award looks better this year than it did last year, everyone who got last year's version notices. Lock the specification and the supplier, and treat the item list as something you change deliberately rather than annually. This reads as a gift. Give it to people you chose, not people who walked past.

2

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Recognition pieces for major donors and board members are the clearest win: they are relatively few, they are highly personal, and they materially affect renewal. For event merchandise, price the item to sell rather than to give. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. Worth personalising individually at this price; the response rate justifies it.

3

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. An imprint area of 7.5 in x 10 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. $22.05 before breaks puts this above hand-out territory. Use it that way.

4

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. Reserve this for the shortlist and the response changes noticeably.

5

Faith & Community Organizations

Faith communities give to mark moments rather than to advertise. Baptisms, confirmations, ordinations, volunteer milestones and building dedications all call for keepsakes carrying a name and a date. Understated decoration outperforms bold branding almost every time in this segment. Personalise it. At this tier a name is what makes it land.

6

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Awards are read as a hierarchy whether or not you intended one. If the participation piece and the champion piece look similar, the champion feels short-changed, and that is remembered longer than the result. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. Too good to scatter. Pick the recipients deliberately.

What do buyers ask about GRC912?

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. GRC912 sells from a single unit at $22.05, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

Can I order more later and have them match?

Re-orders reproduce rather than reinterpret. We keep the approved artwork on file against the item number, so a re-order runs from the same file. On natural materials the base itself can shift a little between batches, so tell us if an exact match matters. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Is there a setup charge?

No. Setup is free on every order at every quantity. Art preparation, machine setup and your digital proof are built into the price, with nothing added for them later. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

How is this decorated?

Laser Engraving is the primary method on GRC912. A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved. We can also run UV Printing on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on GRC912 is 7.5 in x 10 in.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 571 of GRC912 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

What is the minimum order for GRC912?

GRC912 can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on GRC912 runs from $22.05 a piece at 1-11 down to $13.67 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on GRC912 is 7.5 in x 10 in.
