What is the Bib Apron?

Item SBL030 is a apron in quality materials, chosen for how well it takes a mark and how long that mark lasts. It measures 28" x 31 1/2".

Built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer. That is the difference between something kept and something replaced.

It is worn while working in front of customers, so it functions as uniform and signage at the same time. Decoration method is matched to the substrate so the mark is permanent rather than printed on top.

Programs that run year after year usually settle at this tier. It clears the quality bar that decides whether something is kept, without the per-unit cost that forces a shorter list. Concretely: $19.05 each at 1-11, $11.81 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 5 in x 5 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.

Culinary and grocery brandsSpecified regularly for culinary and grocery brands. The imprint area at 5 in x 5 in is sized for exactly that job.
Cooking events and demosSpecified regularly for cooking events and demos. The imprint area at 5 in x 5 in is sized for exactly that job.
Community and civic eventsLocal sponsorships and volunteer thanks, where visible presence matters more than volume.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.

Customer loyalty tiersA physical marker of status that an account dashboard cannot replicate.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Hospitality, Restaurants & Breweries

In hospitality the promotional item and the retail item are the same object. Branded glassware and drinkware serve guests, then sell to guests at the end of the visit. That dual use changes the maths entirely. The decoration cost is recovered at the till rather than written off to marketing. The apron format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. Good enough to be kept, affordable enough to order in real quantity.

2

Franchise & Multi-Location Brands

The hard problem in multi-location branding is consistency, not creativity. Local operators will source their own if the approved path is slower or costlier than the alternative. The way to hold brand consistency is to make the compliant option the easy one, with stocked items and fixed pricing. This is the sweet spot: real perceived value without a procurement conversation.

3

Weddings, Reunions & Milestone Events

Personal events are the one segment where the recipient genuinely wants the item personalized. Guests keep what they can use and discard what merely commemorates. An item that works on an ordinary Tuesday will outlive the event by years; one that only makes sense on the day will not survive the drive home. Built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer.. $19.05 before breaks buys something people keep rather than bin.

4

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Recognition pieces for major donors and board members are the clearest win: they are relatively few, they are highly personal, and they materially affect renewal. For event merchandise, price the item to sell rather than to give. Deep enough quantity is affordable here, which is unusual at this quality.

What do buyers ask about SBL030?

Can I see a proof before you produce the order?

Always, and we do not start without written approval. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing. Once approved, the proof becomes the specification for the run, so check the spelling and the placement carefully. The personalization area on SBL030 is 5 in x 5 in.

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on SBL030 runs from $19.05 a piece at 1-11 down to $11.81 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on SBL030 is 5 in x 5 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 330 of SBL030 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

How should this be cared for?

Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth. SBL030 measures 28" x 31 1/2". Built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer.

Is there a setup charge?

No. Setup is free on every order at every quantity. Art preparation, machine setup and your digital proof are built into the price, with nothing added for them later. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.

What is the minimum order for SBL030?

SBL030 can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on SBL030 runs from $19.05 a piece at 1-11 down to $11.81 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on SBL030 is 5 in x 5 in.
