What is the Cherry Finish Grooved Perpetual Plaque with 12 Plates, 11 3/4" x 12 3/4"?

This plaque is made from solid wood with a natural grain and a finished surface. It measures 11 3/4" x 12 3/4".

Worth knowing before you order: wood carries a warmth that metal and acrylic do not, and that is why it keeps showing up on service awards and retirement pieces where the message is personal rather than corporate..

Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. Laser engraving burns directly into the grain for a permanent mark. Expect slight tonal variation between pieces.

Flagship recognition. The cost only makes sense against a milestone big enough that people will remember where they were standing. Concretely: $175.00 each at 1-11, $108.50 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 10 in x 10 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • We send a digital proof for written approval before production starts. Nothing goes on a machine until you sign it off.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • Convert all type to outlines so fonts do not substitute in production.

Common uses

Service awardsService awards is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Donor recognitionSpecified regularly for donor recognition. The imprint area at 10 in x 10 in is sized for exactly that job.
Sponsor and partner recognitionWorks well for sponsor and partner recognition, where the plaque format does what a printed handout cannot.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.
Executive and board giftingShort lists, individual personalization, and a piece that survives scrutiny.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Participation medals for the field, distinct pieces for placegetters, and something with real presence for the overall champion. Production timing is usually the binding constraint, so lock artwork well before the event rather than after the results are known. Wood carries a warmth that metal and acrylic do not, and that is why it keeps showing up on service awards and retirement pieces where the message is personal rather than corporate.. Flagship recognition. One or two of these, not a programme.

2

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. The presentation matters as much as the piece. An award handed over in a hallway is worth a fraction of the same award presented in front of the team, which means the object should be specified for the moment it will be photographed in, not the shelf it ends on. This is the award people photograph. Budget it as a single line.

3

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Volunteer recognition is where the money works hardest. Volunteers give time that would otherwise cost you wages, and the marginal cost of thanking them properly is trivial against what their continued involvement is worth. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. $175.00 before breaks: reserved for the moment that warrants it.

4

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Budgets are tight and quantities are large, which pushes toward mid-tier items ordered in volume. Alumni and donor gifting is the exception: that is where the spend per unit rises sharply, because the return is measured in gifts rather than impressions. An imprint area of 10 in x 10 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Bought for the one occasion a year that genuinely earns it.

5

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Procurement documentation often takes longer than production. Quotes with fixed validity periods, documented lead times and clear line-item pricing move faster through approval than a better price presented informally. A centrepiece, not a run. Expect it on display for a decade.

What do buyers ask about CPP12?

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on CPP12 runs from $175.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $108.50 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

How is this decorated?

We run laser engraving on CPP12 as standard. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved. We can also run UV Printing on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on CPP12 is 10 in x 10 in. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

Can I order more later and have them match?

Re-orders reproduce rather than reinterpret. We keep the approved artwork on file against the item number, so a re-order runs from the same file. On natural materials the base itself can shift a little between batches, so tell us if an exact match matters. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. CPP12 sells from a single unit at $175.00, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

What is the minimum order for CPP12?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on CPP12. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on CPP12 runs from $175.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $108.50 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

  • Ground freight is free from 12 pieces, which is where this order passes $250.00 of merchandise.
  • The personalization area is 10 in by 10 in. Engraving is charged on the share your artwork actually covers, so a smaller logo costs less. Place yours on the product above and the price updates as you size it.
  • At 50 pieces this costs less than 10% of the 3,730 other priced items in Awards & Recognition. It sits at the dearer end of that range, which is usually the material rather than the margin.
  • Setup is free at every quantity, including 1.
