What is the Gold Metal Cup-10 3/4"?

This trophy cup is made from die-cast zinc alloy with a plated finish. It measures 10 3/4". This is the gold colorway.

In practice: die casting captures far finer relief detail than stamping, so medals and heavier emblem pieces are cast rather than pressed. Plating then sets the finish. Gold, silver or bronze.

A cup is the most recognizable award form there is. It needs no explanation in a photograph. Artwork is struck into the die, or applied as a printed or sublimated insert set into the recess.

This reads as a considered gift, which means it rewards a named list and wastes its advantage on a table by the door. Concretely: $30.00 each at 1-11, $18.60 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 1.2 in x 5 in.

Artwork requirements

  • Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.
  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.

Common uses

Championships and tournamentsWorks well for championships and tournaments, where the trophy cup format does what a printed handout cannot.
Annual perpetual awardsAnnual perpetual awards is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Community and civic eventsLocal sponsorships and volunteer thanks, where visible presence matters more than volume.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.
Renewal and retention giftsTimed to the contract date rather than the calendar, which is when the recipient is actually paying attention.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Volunteer recognition is where the money works hardest. Volunteers give time that would otherwise cost you wages, and the marginal cost of thanking them properly is trivial against what their continued involvement is worth. $30.00 before breaks puts this above hand-out territory. Use it that way.

2

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Participation medals for the field, distinct pieces for placegetters, and something with real presence for the overall champion. Production timing is usually the binding constraint, so lock artwork well before the event rather than after the results are known. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. Reserve this for the shortlist and the response changes noticeably.

3

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. A cup is the most recognizable award form there is. It needs no explanation in a photograph. Personalise it. At this tier a name is what makes it land.

4

Weddings, Reunions & Milestone Events

Personal events are the one segment where the recipient genuinely wants the item personalized. Guests keep what they can use and discard what merely commemorates. An item that works on an ordinary Tuesday will outlive the event by years; one that only makes sense on the day will not survive the drive home. Artwork is struck into the die, or applied as a printed or sublimated insert set into the recess. Too good to scatter. Pick the recipients deliberately.

What do buyers ask about EC202G?

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 859 of EC202G in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

How long does production take?

Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. The clock starts when you approve the proof, not when you place the order. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

Can I order more later and have them match?

Yes. We keep the approved artwork on file against the item number, so a re-order runs from the same file. Material batches can vary slightly on natural materials, which is worth knowing if color matching across orders is critical. The published ladder on EC202G runs from $30.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $18.60 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

What artwork do you need from me?

Send vector if it exists, raster at 300 dpi if it does not, and whatever you have if neither. The personalization area on EC202G is 1.2 in x 5 in, and we redraw or re-proportion anything that will not survive it. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

We replace damaged pieces. Send a photograph and the item number within 10 days of delivery and we handle the carrier claim ourselves. If the box arrives visibly damaged, write that on the freight bill before signing. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on EC202G is 1.2 in x 5 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

What is the minimum order for EC202G?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on EC202G. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises.
