What is the Gold/Silver Metal Cup-15"?

Gold/Silver Metal Cup-15". A trophy cup in zinc alloy, specified for decoration and for daily use rather than for a display shelf. It measures 15". This is the gold colorway, one of 2 in the range.

Worth knowing before you order: die casting captures far finer relief detail than stamping, so medals and heavier emblem pieces are cast rather than pressed. Plating then sets the finish. Gold, silver or bronze.

Artwork is struck into the die, or applied as a printed or sublimated insert set into the recess. A cup is the most recognizable award form there is. It needs no explanation in a photograph.

This is relationship spend. Key accounts, long service, the people who genuinely moved a number: the list should be short and every piece should carry a name. Concretely: $60.00 each at 1-11, $37.20 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 2.63 in x 5 in.

Artwork requirements

  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.
  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.
  • Supply Pantone (PMS) references for any color that has to match exactly.

Common uses

Championships and tournamentsWorks well for championships and tournaments, where the trophy cup format does what a printed handout cannot.
Annual perpetual awardsSpecified regularly for annual perpetual awards. The imprint area at 2.63 in x 5 in is sized for exactly that job.
Remote team welcome kitsShipped to a home address, which for a distributed team is the only physical touch the company gets.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.
Internal contests and incentivesA tangible prize outperforms a gift card for exactly the reason you would expect. It stays on the desk.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. The order arrives before the results do, which means engraving strategy is the real decision. Generic plates with a separate engraved insert let you produce early and personalize late, and that is usually the difference between hitting the date and missing it. The trophy cup format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. $60.00 before breaks buys something that stays on a desk for years.

2

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Budgets are tight and quantities are large, which pushes toward mid-tier items ordered in volume. Alumni and donor gifting is the exception: that is where the spend per unit rises sharply, because the return is measured in gifts rather than impressions. Give this to the handful of people who genuinely moved the number.

3

Weddings, Reunions & Milestone Events

Personal events are the one segment where the recipient genuinely wants the item personalized. The deadline is absolute in a way it is not in any other segment. A wedding does not move, which means production scheduling, not selection, is where these orders fail. Lock artwork six weeks out and the rest is straightforward. Die casting captures far finer relief detail than stamping, so medals and heavier emblem pieces are cast rather than pressed. At this price the recipient list should fit on one page.

4

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Volunteer recognition is where the money works hardest. Volunteers give time that would otherwise cost you wages, and the marginal cost of thanking them properly is trivial against what their continued involvement is worth. Executive tier. Treat the engraving as carefully as the invoice.

What do buyers ask about CMC334?

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes. CMC334 runs in 2 colors and they combine for pricing, as long as the artwork does not change between them. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+.

How long does production take?

Door to door at standard speed: a day for the proof, 3 to 5 business days in production, then 1 to 5 business days in transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. CMC334 sells from a single unit at $60.00, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on CMC334 is 2.63 in x 5 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

What is the minimum order for CMC334?

CMC334 can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on CMC334 runs from $60.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $37.20 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on CMC334 is 2.63 in x 5 in.
