What is the Hand Rubbed Mahogany Finish Book Clock, Diamond Spun Dial, Three Hand Movement?

Hand Rubbed Mahogany Finish Book Clock, Diamond Spun Dial, Three Hand Movement (BC57): a desk clock where Quality materials selected for decoration and everyday durability does most of the work. It measures 9" x 6 3/4" x 2 1/4".

Built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer.

A clock is looked at deliberately, several times a day, for years. Decoration method is matched to the substrate so the mark is permanent rather than printed on top. The two together are why this item re-orders.

Flagship recognition. The cost only makes sense against a milestone big enough that people will remember where they were standing. Concretely: $219.00 each at 1-11, $135.78 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 4 in x 1.01 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Artwork we redraw stays on file under your item number, so the next order runs from the same corrected file.
  • Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.
  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.

Common uses

Retirement giftsA natural fit for retirement gifts, which is one of the settings this desk clock was specified for.
Long-service awardsA natural fit for long-service awards, which is one of the settings this desk clock was specified for.
Executive giftingBuilt for executive gifting. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Internal contests and incentivesA tangible prize outperforms a gift card for exactly the reason you would expect. It stays on the desk.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.
Community and civic eventsLocal sponsorships and volunteer thanks, where visible presence matters more than volume.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Financial Services, Insurance & Legal

Professional services sell trust, and the gift has to look like the invoice. The gift is often opened in front of colleagues, so it is judged as a signal about the relationship rather than as an object. Understatement is the safe default, and a name engraved properly does more than any material upgrade. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. At $219.00 before breaks this is a once-a-year piece.

2

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Challenge coins, unit recognition, retirement and commendation pieces all carry established conventions. Sourcing compliance and documented lead times usually matter as much as the item itself. An imprint area of 4 in x 1.01 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Flagship recognition. One or two of these, not a programme.

3

Corporate Gifting & Client Appreciation

Client gifting has one job: to be kept. Timing beats budget in this segment. The same gift sent a week after a renewal lands completely differently from one sent in December with four hundred others, because in January it is the only thing on the desk. Buy for the calendar you control rather than the one everybody shares. This is the award people photograph. Budget it as a single line.

4

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. Consistency is what makes a recognition program credible. If a ten year award looks better this year than it did last year, everyone who got last year's version notices. Lock the specification and the supplier, and treat the item list as something you change deliberately rather than annually. $219.00 before breaks: reserved for the moment that warrants it.

What do buyers ask about BC57?

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes, and it is the right way to brief us. Tell us the date the box has to be open rather than the date you want it shipped, and checkout works the schedule backwards from there. It refuses a date it cannot keep rather than accepting it and missing it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on BC57 runs from $219.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $135.78 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

How should this be cared for?

Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth. BC57 measures 9" x 6 3/4" x 2 1/4". Built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

How long does production take?

Door to door at standard speed: a day for the proof, 3 to 5 business days in production, then 1 to 5 business days in transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

What artwork do you need from me?

Send vector if it exists, raster at 300 dpi if it does not, and whatever you have if neither. The personalization area on BC57 is 4 in x 1.01 in, and we redraw or re-proportion anything that will not survive it. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

Is there a setup charge?

No. Setup is free on every order at every quantity. Art preparation, machine setup and your digital proof are built into the price, with nothing added for them later. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.

What is the minimum order for BC57?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on BC57. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on BC57 runs from $219.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $135.78 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
