What is the Math Ten Star Medal-Bronze?

This medal is made from die-cast zinc alloy with a plated finish. It measures 2 1/4". This is the bronze colorway.

Die casting captures far finer relief detail than stamping, so medals and heavier emblem pieces are cast rather than pressed. Plating then sets the finish. Gold, silver or bronze.

Artwork is struck into the die, or applied as a printed or sublimated insert set into the recess. Medals scale to hundreds of recipients at a cost per person that no other award form matches.

This is table-stock: priced to be handed out freely. The metric that matters is how many you can put into circulation, not what each one felt like to give. Concretely: $4.15 each at 1-11, $2.57 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 1.35 in x 1.01 in.

The design is struck into metal with a custom die. Crisp raised and recessed relief in solid metal.

Artwork requirements

  • Convert all type to outlines so fonts do not substitute in production.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.

Common uses

Races and tournamentsWorks well for races and tournaments, where the medal format does what a printed handout cannot.
School achievementSpecified regularly for school achievement. The imprint area at 1.35 in x 1.01 in is sized for exactly that job.
Participation recognitionSpecified regularly for participation recognition. The imprint area at 1.35 in x 1.01 in is sized for exactly that job.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.
Executive and board giftingShort lists, individual personalization, and a piece that survives scrutiny.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.
Renewal and retention giftsTimed to the contract date rather than the calendar, which is when the recipient is actually paying attention.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Student-facing items live rough. They go in backpacks, get left outdoors and are rarely cleaned, so durability matters more than finish. Faculty and donor gifting is the opposite problem and deserves an entirely separate specification. An imprint area of 1.35 in x 1.01 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Cheap enough to over-order slightly, which is the right call for a table.

2

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Challenge coins, unit recognition, retirement and commendation pieces all carry established conventions. Sourcing compliance and documented lead times usually matter as much as the item itself. At this price the risk is under-ordering, not over-ordering.

3

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Donors read the gift as a statement about stewardship. Something visibly expensive can cost you more in confidence than it earns in goodwill, which is why restraint and a personal inscription usually outperform scale in this sector. Down to $2.57 at volume, which is where this stops being a cost.

4

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. The order arrives before the results do, which means engraving strategy is the real decision. Generic plates with a separate engraved insert let you produce early and personalize late, and that is usually the difference between hitting the date and missing it. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. Buy for coverage. The arithmetic rewards it and the budget will not notice.

What do buyers ask about TS507B?

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. TS507B sells from a single unit at $4.15, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on TS507B runs from $4.15 a piece at 1-11 down to $2.57 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on TS507B is 1.35 in x 1.01 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 500 of TS507B in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

How is this decorated?

Die Struck is the primary method on TS507B. The design is struck into metal with a custom die. Crisp raised and recessed relief in solid metal. We can also run Printed Insert and Laser Engraving (back) on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on TS507B is 1.35 in x 1.01 in.

What is the minimum order for TS507B?

TS507B can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on TS507B runs from $4.15 a piece at 1-11 down to $2.57 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on TS507B is 1.35 in x 1.01 in.
