What is the Music BriteLazer Medal-Gold?

This medal is made from die-cast zinc alloy with a plated finish. It measures 2". This is the gold colorway.

Die casting captures far finer relief detail than stamping, so medals and heavier emblem pieces are cast rather than pressed. Plating then sets the finish. Gold, silver or bronze. That is the difference between something kept and something replaced.

Medals scale to hundreds of recipients at a cost per person that no other award form matches. On this substrate specifically: artwork is struck into the die, or applied as a printed or sublimated insert set into the recess.

This sits in the giveaway tier, where the job is reach: enough units to hand one to everyone who walks past the table, at a cost per impression low enough that nobody has to justify it line by line. Concretely: $2.85 each at 1-11, $1.77 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 1.2 in x 1 in.

Artwork requirements

  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • We send a digital proof for written approval before production starts. Nothing goes on a machine until you sign it off.
  • Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.

Common uses

Races and tournamentsBuilt for races and tournaments. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
School achievementSchool achievement is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Participation recognitionA natural fit for participation recognition, which is one of the settings this medal was specified for.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.
Community and civic eventsLocal sponsorships and volunteer thanks, where visible presence matters more than volume.
Team and department awardsRecognizing a group without the cost or ceremony of individual crystal for every person.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Awards are read as a hierarchy whether or not you intended one. If the participation piece and the champion piece look similar, the champion feels short-changed, and that is remembered longer than the result. At $2.85 before breaks it is cheap enough to hand out without counting.

2

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Student-facing items live rough. They go in backpacks, get left outdoors and are rarely cleaned, so durability matters more than finish. Faculty and donor gifting is the opposite problem and deserves an entirely separate specification. Die casting captures far finer relief detail than stamping, so medals and heavier emblem pieces are cast rather than pressed. The unit cost here is low enough that reach matters more than restraint.

3

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Challenge coins, unit recognition, retirement and commendation pieces all carry established conventions. Sourcing compliance and documented lead times usually matter as much as the item itself. Order deep. At this price the waste of a few extra is cheaper than running short.

4

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Donors read the gift as a statement about stewardship. Something visibly expensive can cost you more in confidence than it earns in goodwill, which is why restraint and a personal inscription usually outperform scale in this sector. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. Volume is the point at $2.85; nobody is auditing this line item.

What do buyers ask about BL311G?

What artwork do you need from me?

Vector artwork is ideal (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) with all type converted to outlines. High-resolution raster at 300 dpi or better also works, and a logo saved from a website is worth sending anyway. We check it against the 1.2 in x 1 in personalization area and tell you before you pay whether it holds up at that size.

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on BL311G runs from $2.85 a piece at 1-11 down to $1.77 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

We replace damaged pieces. Send a photograph and the item number within 10 days of delivery and we handle the carrier claim ourselves. If the box arrives visibly damaged, write that on the freight bill before signing. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

What does it actually cost at quantity?

Most orders land near 48-95, which prices at $2.28 a piece. The published ladder on BL311G runs from $2.85 a piece at 1-11 down to $1.77 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows more than 1,000 of BL311G in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes, and it is the right way to brief us. Tell us the date the box has to be open rather than the date you want it shipped, and checkout works the schedule backwards from there. It refuses a date it cannot keep rather than accepting it and missing it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

How is this decorated?

Die Struck is the primary method on BL311G. The design is struck into metal with a custom die. Crisp raised and recessed relief in solid metal. We can also run Printed Insert and Laser Engraving (back) on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on BL311G is 1.2 in x 1 in.

What is the minimum order for BL311G?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on BL311G. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on BL311G runs from $2.85 a piece at 1-11 down to $1.77 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
