What is the Soccer Starbrite Medal-Silver, 2"?
Catalogued as SB157S, this medal sits in the part of the range that gets re-ordered rather than tried once. It measures 2". This is the silver colorway.
Casting is what allows shapes, figures, sport-specific sculpts, dimensional forms, that simply cannot be cut from crystal or metal at a comparable price. It is the reason resin dominates youth sport and participation awards.
Medals scale to hundreds of recipients at a cost per person that no other award form matches. Decoration is applied to an engraving plate or a printed plate fitted to the base, not to the sculpt itself. The two together are why this item re-orders.
At this level the item is buying attention rather than gratitude. Order enough to be generous with it, because restraint here saves very little and costs reach. Concretely: $1.95 each at 1-11, $1.21 at 500+.

Artwork requirements
- Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
- Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
- Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
- Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
- A digital proof comes back to you first, every time. Production starts on your written approval and not before.

Common uses
Races and tournamentsA natural fit for races and tournaments, which is one of the settings this medal was specified for.
School achievementBuilt for school achievement. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Participation recognitionSpecified regularly for participation recognition. The imprint area at 1.2 in x 1 in is sized for exactly that job.
Remote team welcome kitsShipped to a home address, which for a distributed team is the only physical touch the company gets.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Where this works best
The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.
1
Nonprofit & Fundraising
Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Volunteer recognition is where the money works hardest. Volunteers give time that would otherwise cost you wages, and the marginal cost of thanking them properly is trivial against what their continued involvement is worth. An imprint area of 1.2 in x 1 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Volume is the point at $1.95; nobody is auditing this line item.
2
Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs
Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Participation medals for the field, distinct pieces for placegetters, and something with real presence for the overall champion. Production timing is usually the binding constraint, so lock artwork well before the event rather than after the results are known. Cost per impression is the number that matters here, and it is very low.
3
Education, Schools & Universities
Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. Cheap enough to over-order slightly, which is the right call for a table.
4
Government, Military & First Responders
This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. At this price the risk is under-ordering, not over-ordering.

What do buyers ask about SB157S?
Do you keep this item in stock?
Yes. The warehouse shows more than 1,000 of SB157S in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
What artwork do you need from me?
Send vector if it exists, raster at 300 dpi if it does not, and whatever you have if neither. The personalization area on SB157S is 1.2 in x 1 in, and we redraw or re-proportion anything that will not survive it. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.
What happens if something arrives damaged?
Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.
How is this decorated?
We run laser engraving (plate) on SB157S as standard. A permanent engraved plate on a cast body. We can also run UV Printing (plate) and Sublimated Plate on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on SB157S is 1.2 in x 1 in. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.
Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?
Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on SB157S runs from $1.95 a piece at 1-11 down to $1.21 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
Can I see a proof before you produce the order?
Yes, and nothing runs until you have signed it off. Read it properly rather than skimming, because the approved proof is the specification we produce against. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
Can I get a sample before committing?
Yes: order one piece. SB157S sells from a single unit at $1.95, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.
What is the minimum order for SB157S?
There is no minimum beyond one piece on SB157S. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on SB157S runs from $1.95 a piece at 1-11 down to $1.21 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

What SB157S costs at each quantity
The piece, the engraving and the freight, worked out at every break on this item's own ladder. Most suppliers publish the piece price and leave you to find out the rest at checkout.

- Ground freight is free from 96 pieces, which is where this order passes $250.00 of merchandise.
- The personalization area is 1.2 in by 1 in. Engraving is charged on the share your artwork actually covers, so a smaller logo costs less. Place yours on the product above and the price updates as you size it.
- At 50 pieces this costs less than 96% of the 3,730 other priced items in Awards & Recognition.
- The table starts at 96 because below that the engraving setup costs more than the goods, and we will not guess at a price there. Ask us and we will quote a smaller run from your artwork.
- Setup is free at every quantity, including 96.
