What is the Star Glass Ornament with Silver String Hanger?

A working ornament. Full-lead crystal with high refractive brilliance and hand-finished edges. It measures 3 1/4". This is the silver colorway.

Lead content increases the refractive index, which is the technical reason lead crystal throws more light and looks noticeably more brilliant under display lighting than ordinary glass. It also adds weight, which is a large part of why crystal reads as a premium award.

An ornament comes back out of a box every December. Annual recurring impressions from a single purchase. Sand carving produces the deepest, most tactile mark. Laser engraving is faster and better suited to fine text and small logos.

The dependable middle. Recipients register it as a real object rather than a handout, and you can still order in the quantities a full team needs. Concretely: $12.00 each at 1-11, $7.44 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 2.6 in x 2.28 in.

Sand Carving

Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip.

Best for

Crystal and glass awards where depth and presence matter more than color.

Color

Frosted white, optionally color-filled.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

Color Fill

Engraved or carved recesses are filled with pigment. A permanent engraved mark that reads in brand color rather than substrate color.

Best for

Metal and crystal where the logo must be recognisably on-brand.

Color

Matched to Pantone where the recess allows.

Artwork requirements

  • Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.
  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • Supply Pantone (PMS) references for any color that has to match exactly.
  • Convert all type to outlines so fonts do not substitute in production.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.

Common uses

Holiday client giftingHoliday client gifting is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Annual keepsake programsSpecified regularly for annual keepsake programs. The imprint area at 2.6 in x 2.28 in is sized for exactly that job.
FundraisingFundraising is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Executive and board giftingShort lists, individual personalization, and a piece that survives scrutiny.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Faith & Community Organizations

Faith communities give to mark moments rather than to advertise. Congregations buy in small quantities across many occasions rather than in one annual run. That makes minimum order quantity and re-order consistency more important than unit price for almost every purchase in this segment. $12.00 before breaks buys something people keep rather than bin.

2

Real Estate & Closing Gifts

A closing gift is a referral instrument, not a thank-you note. The right gift stays in the new home, gets used in front of guests, and prompts the question "where did you get that?". That is the moment your name comes up. Personalizing with the family name rather than the brokerage logo dramatically increases the odds it stays out on display. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. Deep enough quantity is affordable here, which is unusual at this quality.

3

Corporate Gifting & Client Appreciation

Client gifting has one job: to be kept. Timing beats budget in this segment. The same gift sent a week after a renewal lands completely differently from one sent in December with four hundred others, because in January it is the only thing on the desk. Buy for the calendar you control rather than the one everybody shares. An ornament comes back out of a box every December. Annual recurring impressions from a single purchase. The workhorse choice for this audience, and it re-orders predictably.

4

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Volunteer recognition is where the money works hardest. Volunteers give time that would otherwise cost you wages, and the marginal cost of thanking them properly is trivial against what their continued involvement is worth. Sand carving produces the deepest, most tactile mark. Laser engraving is faster and better suited to fine text and small logos. Priced so you can cover everyone without cheapening the gesture.

What do buyers ask about CGS106?

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. CGS106 sells from a single unit at $12.00, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

How is this decorated?

Sand Carving is the primary method on CGS106. Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip. We can also run Laser Engraving and Color Fill on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on CGS106 is 2.6 in x 2.28 in.

Can I order more later and have them match?

Re-orders reproduce rather than reinterpret. We keep the approved artwork on file against the item number, so a re-order runs from the same file. On natural materials the base itself can shift a little between batches, so tell us if an exact match matters. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

How should this be cared for?

Hand wash only with a soft cloth. Never dishwasher. CGS106 measures 3 1/4" and is made of crystal. Lead content increases the refractive index, which is the technical reason lead crystal throws more light and looks noticeably more brilliant under display lighting than ordinary glass.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 878 of CGS106 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on CGS106 is 2.6 in x 2.28 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

What is the minimum order for CGS106?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on CGS106. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on CGS106 runs from $12.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $7.44 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
