What is the 2" Victory Medal Display Set?

This medal is made from die-cast zinc alloy with a plated finish. It measures 10" x 13".

Die casting captures far finer relief detail than stamping, so medals and heavier emblem pieces are cast rather than pressed. Plating then sets the finish. Gold, silver or bronze. That is the difference between something kept and something replaced.

Artwork is struck into the die, or applied as a printed or sublimated insert set into the recess. Medals scale to hundreds of recipients at a cost per person that no other award form matches.

At this level the piece is doing relationship work, not advertising work. Reserve it for named recipients, key clients, top performers, long-service milestones, and personalize it individually. Concretely: $94.20 each at 1-11, $58.40 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 4 in x 4 in.

Artwork requirements

  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • Do not spend a week hunting for the perfect file. Send what exists and we will tell you what is usable.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.

Common uses

Races and tournamentsWorks well for races and tournaments, where the medal format does what a printed handout cannot.
School achievementBuilt for school achievement. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Participation recognitionSpecified regularly for participation recognition. The imprint area at 4 in x 4 in is sized for exactly that job.
Remote team welcome kitsShipped to a home address, which for a distributed team is the only physical touch the company gets.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.
Community and civic eventsLocal sponsorships and volunteer thanks, where visible presence matters more than volume.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Procurement documentation often takes longer than production. Quotes with fixed validity periods, documented lead times and clear line-item pricing move faster through approval than a better price presented informally. $94.20 before breaks buys something that stays on a desk for years.

2

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Volunteer recognition is where the money works hardest. Volunteers give time that would otherwise cost you wages, and the marginal cost of thanking them properly is trivial against what their continued involvement is worth. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. Give this to the handful of people who genuinely moved the number.

3

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Participation medals for the field, distinct pieces for placegetters, and something with real presence for the overall champion. Production timing is usually the binding constraint, so lock artwork well before the event rather than after the results are known. Medals scale to hundreds of recipients at a cost per person that no other award form matches. At this price the recipient list should fit on one page.

4

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. Artwork is struck into the die, or applied as a printed or sublimated insert set into the recess. Executive tier. Treat the engraving as carefully as the invoice.

What do buyers ask about VMSET1?

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. VMSET1 sells from a single unit at $94.20, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

What artwork do you need from me?

Send vector if it exists, raster at 300 dpi if it does not, and whatever you have if neither. The personalization area on VMSET1 is 4 in x 4 in, and we redraw or re-proportion anything that will not survive it. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

What does it actually cost at quantity?

The published ladder on VMSET1 runs from $94.20 a piece at 1-11 down to $58.40 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on VMSET1 is 4 in x 4 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

Can I see a proof before you produce the order?

Always, and we do not start without written approval. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing. Once approved, the proof becomes the specification for the run, so check the spelling and the placement carefully. The personalization area on VMSET1 is 4 in x 4 in.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

How is this decorated?

Die Struck is the primary method on VMSET1. The design is struck into metal with a custom die. Crisp raised and recessed relief in solid metal. We can also run Printed Insert and Laser Engraving (back) on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on VMSET1 is 4 in x 4 in.

What is the minimum order for VMSET1?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on VMSET1. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on VMSET1 runs from $94.20 a piece at 1-11 down to $58.40 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
