What is the 3" x 7" Clear Star Pop-In Acrylic (Base not included)?

3" x 7" Clear Star Pop-In Acrylic (Base not included). A acrylic award in acrylic, specified for decoration and for daily use rather than for a display shelf. It measures 3"(L) x 7"(H) x 3/8" thick. This is the clear colorway.

Acrylic is roughly half the weight of glass and dramatically harder to break, which matters more than people expect. It survives shipping to a remote office, it survives a trade show crate, and it survives being knocked off a desk.

Acrylic takes full-color UV printing beautifully, so unlike crystal it can reproduce a logo in exact brand colors rather than as a frosted silhouette. Laser engraving gives the frosted look when that is preferred. Acrylic is the only award substrate that reproduces a full-color logo cleanly and survives being posted to a home address.

This reads as a considered gift, which means it rewards a named list and wastes its advantage on a table by the door. Concretely: $43.50 each at 1-11, $26.97 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 1.8 in x 3.15 in.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

Laser Cutting

The laser cuts entirely through the sheet to a custom outline. A shape cut to your logo or silhouette rather than a stock outline.

Best for

Acrylic awards and signage that should not look off-the-shelf.

Color

Material color.

Artwork requirements

  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • A digital proof comes back to you first, every time. Production starts on your written approval and not before.
  • Convert all type to outlines so fonts do not substitute in production.
  • If brand color accuracy matters, give us the Pantone numbers rather than a screenshot to match.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.

Common uses

Full-color brand awardsWorks well for full-color brand awards, where the acrylic award format does what a printed handout cannot.
Sales recognitionSpecified regularly for sales recognition. The imprint area at 1.8 in x 3.15 in is sized for exactly that job.
Remote-team shippingRemote-team shipping is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Sponsorship and partner thanksGiven to the people who funded or enabled the work, in a form they can keep visible.
Executive and board giftingShort lists, individual personalization, and a piece that survives scrutiny.
Customer loyalty tiersA physical marker of status that an account dashboard cannot replicate.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Recruiting and onboardingIncluded in offer packs and first-day kits, where the object is doing culture work from the very first hour.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Recognition pieces for major donors and board members are the clearest win: they are relatively few, they are highly personal, and they materially affect renewal. For event merchandise, price the item to sell rather than to give. The acrylic award format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. $43.50 before breaks puts this above hand-out territory. Use it that way.

2

Technology, SaaS & Startups

Distributed teams have no office to carry the culture, so the objects have to. Shipping is the hidden cost and the hidden failure. An item that arrives damaged or takes three weeks to reach a remote hire does the opposite of what it was bought for, so pack weight and carrier reliability belong in the specification. Reserve this for the shortlist and the response changes noticeably.

3

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. Consistency is what makes a recognition program credible. If a ten year award looks better this year than it did last year, everyone who got last year's version notices. Lock the specification and the supplier, and treat the item list as something you change deliberately rather than annually. Acrylic is roughly half the weight of glass and dramatically harder to break, which matters more than people expect. Personalise it. At this tier a name is what makes it land.

4

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Budgets are tight and quantities are large, which pushes toward mid-tier items ordered in volume. Alumni and donor gifting is the exception: that is where the spend per unit rises sharply, because the return is measured in gifts rather than impressions. Too good to scatter. Pick the recipients deliberately.

5

Franchise & Multi-Location Brands

The hard problem in multi-location branding is consistency, not creativity. Local operators will source their own if the approved path is slower or costlier than the alternative. The way to hold brand consistency is to make the compliant option the easy one, with stocked items and fixed pricing. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. Volume takes it to $26.97, which widens the list without cheapening it.

Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.
