What is the 4" Round Cork Coaster?
Item CST41 is a coaster in cork, chosen for how well it takes a mark and how long that mark lasts. It measures 4" diameter.
Cork is naturally water-resistant, compressible and grippy, and that is what makes it work as a coaster and a base material rather than just a sustainable talking point..
Coasters live on the surface where drinks and conversations happen. On this substrate specifically: laser engraving produces a soft darkened mark. Best with bold, simple artwork rather than fine detail.
This is table-stock: priced to be handed out freely. The metric that matters is how many you can put into circulation, not what each one felt like to give. Concretely: $1.40 each at 1-11, $0.87 at 500+.

Decoration options
The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 2.4 in x 2 in.
Laser Engraving
A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.
Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.
Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.
UV Printing
UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.
Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.
Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.
Artwork requirements
- Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
- Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
- If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
- Supply Pantone (PMS) references for any color that has to match exactly.
- Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.

Common uses
Where this works best
The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.
Corporate Gifting & Client Appreciation
Client gifting has one job: to be kept. Timing beats budget in this segment. The same gift sent a week after a renewal lands completely differently from one sent in December with four hundred others, because in January it is the only thing on the desk. Buy for the calendar you control rather than the one everybody shares. The unit cost here is low enough that reach matters more than restraint.
Financial Services, Insurance & Legal
Professional services sell trust, and the gift has to look like the invoice. The gift is often opened in front of colleagues, so it is judged as a signal about the relationship rather than as an object. Understatement is the safe default, and a name engraved properly does more than any material upgrade. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. Order deep. At this price the waste of a few extra is cheaper than running short.
Hospitality, Restaurants & Breweries
In hospitality the promotional item and the retail item are the same object. Branded glassware and drinkware serve guests, then sell to guests at the end of the visit. That dual use changes the maths entirely. The decoration cost is recovered at the till rather than written off to marketing. An imprint area of 2.4 in x 2 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Volume is the point at $1.40; nobody is auditing this line item.
Real Estate & Closing Gifts
A closing gift is a referral instrument, not a thank-you note. The gift is competing with a move, which is the least receptive moment in a person's year. Something that gets unpacked in the first week and used immediately beats something beautiful that stays in a box until the boxes are finally dealt with. Cost per impression is the number that matters here, and it is very low.

What do buyers ask about CST41?
Can I get a sample before committing?
Yes: order one piece. CST41 sells from a single unit at $1.40, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.
How should this be cared for?
Wipe clean. Do not soak. CST41 measures 4" diameter and is made of cork. Cork is naturally water-resistant, compressible and grippy, and that is what makes it work as a coaster and a base material rather than just a sustainable talking point.
Do you ship to multiple addresses?
Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.
Is there a setup charge?
There is no setup charge, ever. Art preparation, machine setup and the proof are part of the price on this page. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.
Can I order more later and have them match?
Re-orders reproduce rather than reinterpret. We keep the approved artwork on file against the item number, so a re-order runs from the same file. On natural materials the base itself can shift a little between batches, so tell us if an exact match matters. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
How is this decorated?
We run laser engraving on CST41 as standard. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved. We can also run UV Printing on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on CST41 is 2.4 in x 2 in. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.
Do you keep this item in stock?
Yes. The warehouse shows more than 1,000 of CST41 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
What is the minimum order for CST41?
CST41 can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on CST41 runs from $1.40 a piece at 1-11 down to $0.87 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on CST41 is 2.4 in x 2 in.
