What is the 7 1/4"x 10 Antique Bronze Medallion Holder Frame- Frame Only, Plate and Medallion Sold Separately?

This is a plaque in zinc alloy. Straightforward to decorate, and durable enough that the decoration outlasts the occasion. It measures 7 1/4" x 10". This is the bronze colorway.

Worth knowing before you order: die casting captures far finer relief detail than stamping, so medals and heavier emblem pieces are cast rather than pressed. Plating then sets the finish. Gold, silver or bronze.

Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. On this substrate specifically: artwork is struck into the die, or applied as a printed or sublimated insert set into the recess.

This is a flagship piece. It is bought for the one or two moments a year that genuinely warrant it, and it is expected to be on display for years afterwards. Concretely: $201.75 each at 1-11, $125.09 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 8.5 in x 8.5 in.

Artwork requirements

  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • Convert all type to outlines so fonts do not substitute in production.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • Vector artwork (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) reproduces best at every size and is what we ask for first.
  • Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.

Common uses

Service awardsWorks well for service awards, where the plaque format does what a printed handout cannot.
Donor recognitionDonor recognition is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Sponsor and partner recognitionBuilt for sponsor and partner recognition. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Renewal and retention giftsTimed to the contract date rather than the calendar, which is when the recipient is actually paying attention.
Team and department awardsRecognizing a group without the cost or ceremony of individual crystal for every person.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. If you are marking five or ten years of someone's working life, the piece has to carry weight. Literally and otherwise. Personalization with the individual's name is what converts a company gift into a personal keepsake, and it is the single highest-leverage decision in a recognition program. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. $201.75 before breaks: reserved for the moment that warrants it.

2

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Donors read the gift as a statement about stewardship. Something visibly expensive can cost you more in confidence than it earns in goodwill, which is why restraint and a personal inscription usually outperform scale in this sector. An imprint area of 8.5 in x 8.5 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Bought for the one occasion a year that genuinely earns it.

3

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Student-facing items live rough. They go in backpacks, get left outdoors and are rarely cleaned, so durability matters more than finish. Faculty and donor gifting is the opposite problem and deserves an entirely separate specification. A centrepiece, not a run. Expect it on display for a decade.

4

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Challenge coins, unit recognition, retirement and commendation pieces all carry established conventions. Sourcing compliance and documented lead times usually matter as much as the item itself. The piece the room looks at. Price it as an event cost, not merchandise.

5

Faith & Community Organizations

Faith communities give to mark moments rather than to advertise. These pieces are given once and kept for a lifetime, so the failure mode is not looking cheap but dating badly. Restrained typography and no year-specific styling means the piece still reads well in twenty years. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. This is the one people stand next to in the photograph.

6

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. The order arrives before the results do, which means engraving strategy is the real decision. Generic plates with a separate engraved insert let you produce early and personalize late, and that is usually the difference between hitting the date and missing it. Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. Reserved for a milestone big enough to justify the line item on its own.

What do buyers ask about ZX960?

What happens if something arrives damaged?

We replace damaged pieces. Send a photograph and the item number within 10 days of delivery and we handle the carrier claim ourselves. If the box arrives visibly damaged, write that on the freight bill before signing. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on ZX960 is 8.5 in x 8.5 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 492 of ZX960 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

Can I see a proof before you produce the order?

Always, and we do not start without written approval. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing. Once approved, the proof becomes the specification for the run, so check the spelling and the placement carefully. The personalization area on ZX960 is 8.5 in x 8.5 in.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes, and it is the right way to brief us. Tell us the date the box has to be open rather than the date you want it shipped, and checkout works the schedule backwards from there. It refuses a date it cannot keep rather than accepting it and missing it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Is there a setup charge?

No. Setup is free on every order at every quantity. Art preparation, machine setup and your digital proof are built into the price, with nothing added for them later. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.

What is the minimum order for ZX960?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on ZX960. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on ZX960 runs from $201.75 a piece at 1-11 down to $125.09 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
