What is the 8 1/2" x 11" Blue Lazerburst Spiral Notebook-Lasers to Silver?

8 1/2" x 11" Blue Lazerburst Spiral Notebook-Lasers to Silver (LZB251): a journal where Quality materials selected for decoration and everyday durability does most of the work. It measures 8 1/2" (L) x 11" (H). This is the blue colorway, one of 2 in the range.

In practice: built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer..

A journal is carried into meetings, which puts the logo in front of third parties rather than only the recipient. Decoration method is matched to the substrate so the mark is permanent rather than printed on top. The two together are why this item re-orders.

Above handout territory. The value here is in choosing recipients deliberately, because the object is good enough that the choosing is part of the message. Concretely: $21.00 each at 1-11, $13.02 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 5 in x 1.31 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.

Common uses

Executive giftingBuilt for executive gifting. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Conference kitsBuilt for conference kits. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
OnboardingOnboarding is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.
Recruiting and onboardingIncluded in offer packs and first-day kits, where the object is doing culture work from the very first hour.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Team and department awardsRecognizing a group without the cost or ceremony of individual crystal for every person.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Corporate Gifting & Client Appreciation

Client gifting has one job: to be kept. A gift that lands on a client desk and stays there keeps working long after the meeting that prompted it. That argues for fewer, better pieces rather than a large volume of disposables, and for decoration that will still look intentional in two years. At $21.00 before breaks, name the recipients rather than filling a table.

2

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. Built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer.. This reads as a gift. Give it to people you chose, not people who walked past.

3

Technology, SaaS & Startups

Distributed teams have no office to carry the culture, so the objects have to. Company swag competes with genuinely good consumer products for the same desk space, and it usually loses. The piece has to be something the recipient would plausibly have bought, or it becomes a donation to a charity shop. Worth personalising individually at this price; the response rate justifies it.

4

Onboarding & New Hire Kits

Day one sets the tone for everything after it. A welcome kit waiting on a desk, or arriving at a home address before a remote start, is the cheapest culture signal an employer can buy. Items that get used daily do the most work here, because they keep signalling belonging long after week one. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. $21.00 before breaks puts this above hand-out territory. Use it that way.

5

Trade Shows & Conferences

Booth traffic is not the metric: what leaves the hall and stays in use is. Weight and packability decide what actually leaves the hall. Anything bulky ends up in a hotel bin regardless of quality, so the constraint is what fits in a carry-on alongside everything else collected that day. An imprint area of 5 in x 1.31 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Reserve this for the shortlist and the response changes noticeably.

6

Financial Services, Insurance & Legal

Professional services sell trust, and the gift has to look like the invoice. The gift is often opened in front of colleagues, so it is judged as a signal about the relationship rather than as an object. Understatement is the safe default, and a name engraved properly does more than any material upgrade. Personalise it. At this tier a name is what makes it land.

What do buyers ask about LZB251?

Can I see a proof before you produce the order?

Yes, and nothing runs until you have signed it off. Read it properly rather than skimming, because the approved proof is the specification we produce against. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

How is this decorated?

Laser Engraving is the primary method on LZB251. A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved. We can also run UV Printing on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on LZB251 is 5 in x 1.31 in.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on LZB251 is 5 in x 1.31 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

How should this be cared for?

Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth. LZB251 measures 8 1/2" (L) x 11" (H). Built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer.

What artwork do you need from me?

Vector artwork is ideal (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) with all type converted to outlines. High-resolution raster at 300 dpi or better also works, and a logo saved from a website is worth sending anyway. We check it against the 5 in x 1.31 in personalization area and tell you before you pay whether it holds up at that size.

What does it actually cost at quantity?

The published ladder on LZB251 runs from $21.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $13.02 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes, and it is the right way to brief us. Tell us the date the box has to be open rather than the date you want it shipped, and checkout works the schedule backwards from there. It refuses a date it cannot keep rather than accepting it and missing it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

What is the minimum order for LZB251?

LZB251 can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on LZB251 runs from $21.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $13.02 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on LZB251 is 5 in x 1.31 in.
