What is the Achievemnt High Relief Medal-Silver?

The Achievemnt High Relief Medal-Silver is what most buyers mean when they ask for a medal that will not look cheap in six months. It measures 2". This is the silver colorway.

Die casting captures far finer relief detail than stamping, so medals and heavier emblem pieces are cast rather than pressed. Plating then sets the finish. Gold, silver or bronze.

Medals scale to hundreds of recipients at a cost per person that no other award form matches. Artwork is struck into the die, or applied as a printed or sublimated insert set into the recess.

Giveaway pricing, which changes how you should think about quantity. Running short at a booth costs more in missed conversations than the extra units would have cost to print. Concretely: $2.90 each at 1-11, $1.80 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 1.2 in x 1 in.

Artwork requirements

  • Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.
  • Artwork we redraw stays on file under your item number, so the next order runs from the same corrected file.
  • Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.
  • Do not spend a week hunting for the perfect file. Send what exists and we will tell you what is usable.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.

Common uses

Races and tournamentsSpecified regularly for races and tournaments. The imprint area at 1.2 in x 1 in is sized for exactly that job.
School achievementA natural fit for school achievement, which is one of the settings this medal was specified for.
Participation recognitionParticipation recognition is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.
Team and department awardsRecognizing a group without the cost or ceremony of individual crystal for every person.
Community and civic eventsLocal sponsorships and volunteer thanks, where visible presence matters more than volume.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. Buy for coverage. The arithmetic rewards it and the budget will not notice.

2

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Recognition pieces for major donors and board members are the clearest win: they are relatively few, they are highly personal, and they materially affect renewal. For event merchandise, price the item to sell rather than to give. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. At $2.90 before breaks it is cheap enough to hand out without counting.

3

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Awards are read as a hierarchy whether or not you intended one. If the participation piece and the champion piece look similar, the champion feels short-changed, and that is remembered longer than the result. An imprint area of 1.2 in x 1 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. The unit cost here is low enough that reach matters more than restraint.

4

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Student-facing items live rough. They go in backpacks, get left outdoors and are rarely cleaned, so durability matters more than finish. Faculty and donor gifting is the opposite problem and deserves an entirely separate specification. Order deep. At this price the waste of a few extra is cheaper than running short.

What do buyers ask about HR700S?

How is this decorated?

We run die struck on HR700S as standard. Crisp raised and recessed relief in solid metal. We can also run Printed Insert and Laser Engraving (back) on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on HR700S is 1.2 in x 1 in. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. HR700S sells from a single unit at $2.90, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 381 of HR700S in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

We replace damaged pieces. Send a photograph and the item number within 10 days of delivery and we handle the carrier claim ourselves. If the box arrives visibly damaged, write that on the freight bill before signing. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes, and it is the right way to brief us. Tell us the date the box has to be open rather than the date you want it shipped, and checkout works the schedule backwards from there. It refuses a date it cannot keep rather than accepting it and missing it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

How should this be cared for?

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasives, which cut through plating. HR700S measures 2" and is made of zinc alloy. Die casting captures far finer relief detail than stamping, so medals and heavier emblem pieces are cast rather than pressed.

What artwork do you need from me?

Vector artwork is ideal (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) with all type converted to outlines. High-resolution raster at 300 dpi or better also works, and a logo saved from a website is worth sending anyway. We check it against the 1.2 in x 1 in personalization area and tell you before you pay whether it holds up at that size.

What is the minimum order for HR700S?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on HR700S. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on HR700S runs from $2.90 a piece at 1-11 down to $1.80 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
