What is the Blue/Silver Leatherette Hex Patch, 3" x 2"?

The Blue/Silver Leatherette Hex Patch, 3" x 2" is what most buyers mean when they ask for a patch that will not look cheap in six months. It measures 3" x 2". This is the blue colorway, one of 2 in the range.

Leatherette solves the two problems real leather has as a promotional substrate: it is consistent from unit to unit, so a hundred pieces look like a hundred of the same piece, and it does not absorb moisture, stain, or fray at cut edges..

Patches let one apparel blank serve many teams, departments or locations. This is one of the highest-contrast decoration surfaces in the industry. The laser removes the top layer and reveals the core color underneath, so the logo appears as a crisp, permanent, two-tone mark with no ink and nothing to wear off.

Treat this as reach inventory. The point of the tier is that you can put one in every hand at an event without the total ever becoming a conversation with finance. Concretely: $2.80 each at 1-11, $1.74 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 1.8 in x 1 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

Debossing

A heated die presses the artwork into the material. A subtle, tactile, recessed impression in the surface color.

Best for

Leather and leatherette gifts where understatement is the point.

Color

Blind (no color) or foil-filled.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • We send a digital proof for written approval before production starts. Nothing goes on a machine until you sign it off.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.

Common uses

Uniform programsSpecified regularly for uniform programs. The imprint area at 1.8 in x 1 in is sized for exactly that job.
Team and club identityTeam and club identity is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Apparel customisationA natural fit for apparel customisation, which is one of the settings this patch was specified for.
Executive and board giftingShort lists, individual personalization, and a piece that survives scrutiny.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Sponsorship and partner thanksGiven to the people who funded or enabled the work, in a form they can keep visible.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Franchise & Multi-Location Brands

The hard problem in multi-location branding is consistency, not creativity. A single approved item list, locked artwork and a repeatable re-order path stop forty locations producing forty versions of the logo. Stocked programs with fixed pricing are what make that governable. An imprint area of 1.8 in x 1 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Buy for coverage. The arithmetic rewards it and the budget will not notice.

2

Construction, Trades & Field Services

On a job site, an item survives or it disappears. Crews compare what they were given. Handing out two grades of the same item across a site causes more friction than giving nothing at all, so buy one specification deep rather than two shallow. At $2.80 before breaks it is cheap enough to hand out without counting.

3

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. The unit cost here is low enough that reach matters more than restraint.

4

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Participation medals for the field, distinct pieces for placegetters, and something with real presence for the overall champion. Production timing is usually the binding constraint, so lock artwork well before the event rather than after the results are known. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. Order deep. At this price the waste of a few extra is cheaper than running short.

What do buyers ask about PTH139?

How should this be cared for?

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not soak or machine wash. PTH139 measures 3" x 2" and is made of leatherette. Leatherette solves the two problems real leather has as a promotional substrate: it is consistent from unit to unit, so a hundred pieces look like a hundred of the same piece, and it does not absorb moisture, stain, or fray at cut edges.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 977 of PTH139 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Is there a setup charge?

There is no setup charge, ever. Art preparation, machine setup and the proof are part of the price on this page. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

How is this decorated?

We run laser engraving on PTH139 as standard. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved. We can also run Debossing and UV Printing on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on PTH139 is 1.8 in x 1 in. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

What artwork do you need from me?

Vector artwork is ideal (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) with all type converted to outlines. High-resolution raster at 300 dpi or better also works, and a logo saved from a website is worth sending anyway. We check it against the 1.8 in x 1 in personalization area and tell you before you pay whether it holds up at that size.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on PTH139 is 1.8 in x 1 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

How long does production take?

Door to door at standard speed: a day for the proof, 3 to 5 business days in production, then 1 to 5 business days in transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

What is the minimum order for PTH139?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on PTH139. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on PTH139 runs from $2.80 a piece at 1-11 down to $1.74 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
