What is the Flame Series Glass Award with Gunmetal Finish Base, 4 1/2" x 9 5/8"?

Item G2539 is a plaque in glass, chosen for how well it takes a mark and how long that mark lasts. It measures 4 1/2" x 9 5/8". This is the gunmetal colorway.

In practice: glass gives you most of the visual authority of crystal at a materially lower cost, which is what makes it the practical choice when you are recognizing a whole team rather than one person..

Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. Deep etch sand carving frosts the surface for a bright white mark that photographs well. Laser engraving handles finer detail. The two together are why this item re-orders.

The piece stays on a desk for years, which is the whole return. Choose recipients the way you would choose who to take to dinner. Concretely: $84.00 each at 1-11, $52.08 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 2 in x 2 in.

Sand Carving

Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip.

Best for

Crystal and glass awards where depth and presence matter more than color.

Color

Frosted white, optionally color-filled.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.

Common uses

Service awardsBuilt for service awards. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Donor recognitionDonor recognition is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Sponsor and partner recognitionA natural fit for sponsor and partner recognition, which is one of the settings this plaque was specified for.
Internal contests and incentivesA tangible prize outperforms a gift card for exactly the reason you would expect. It stays on the desk.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.
Team and department awardsRecognizing a group without the cost or ceremony of individual crystal for every person.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Donors read the gift as a statement about stewardship. Something visibly expensive can cost you more in confidence than it earns in goodwill, which is why restraint and a personal inscription usually outperform scale in this sector. This is a shortlist item. Individual personalisation is expected at this level.

2

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Student-facing items live rough. They go in backpacks, get left outdoors and are rarely cleaned, so durability matters more than finish. Faculty and donor gifting is the opposite problem and deserves an entirely separate specification. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. $84.00 before breaks buys something that stays on a desk for years.

3

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Challenge coins, unit recognition, retirement and commendation pieces all carry established conventions. Sourcing compliance and documented lead times usually matter as much as the item itself. An imprint area of 2 in x 2 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Give this to the handful of people who genuinely moved the number.

4

Faith & Community Organizations

Faith communities give to mark moments rather than to advertise. These pieces are given once and kept for a lifetime, so the failure mode is not looking cheap but dating badly. Restrained typography and no year-specific styling means the piece still reads well in twenty years. At this price the recipient list should fit on one page.

5

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. The order arrives before the results do, which means engraving strategy is the real decision. Generic plates with a separate engraved insert let you produce early and personalize late, and that is usually the difference between hitting the date and missing it. Executive tier. Treat the engraving as carefully as the invoice.

What do buyers ask about G2539?

What does it actually cost at quantity?

Most orders land near 48-95, which prices at $67.20 a piece. The published ladder on G2539 runs from $84.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $52.08 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.

What artwork do you need from me?

Vector artwork is ideal (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) with all type converted to outlines. High-resolution raster at 300 dpi or better also works, and a logo saved from a website is worth sending anyway. We check it against the 2 in x 2 in personalization area and tell you before you pay whether it holds up at that size.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on G2539 is 2 in x 2 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.
