What is the Flame Series Glass Award with Gunmetal Finish Base, 5" x 10 5/8"?

This plaque is made from annealed glass with polished edges and a clear, even body. It measures 5" x 10 5/8". This is the gunmetal colorway.

In practice: glass gives you most of the visual authority of crystal at a materially lower cost, which is what makes it the practical choice when you are recognizing a whole team rather than one person..

Deep etch sand carving frosts the surface for a bright white mark that photographs well. Laser engraving handles finer detail. Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient.

At this level the piece is doing relationship work, not advertising work. Reserve it for named recipients, key clients, top performers, long-service milestones, and personalize it individually. Concretely: $93.00 each at 1-11, $57.66 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 2 in x 2 in.

Sand Carving

Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip.

Best for

Crystal and glass awards where depth and presence matter more than color.

Color

Frosted white, optionally color-filled.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Vector artwork (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) reproduces best at every size and is what we ask for first.
  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.
  • Supply Pantone (PMS) references for any color that has to match exactly.
  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.

Common uses

Service awardsBuilt for service awards. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Donor recognitionWorks well for donor recognition, where the plaque format does what a printed handout cannot.
Sponsor and partner recognitionSponsor and partner recognition is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Fundraising and donor recognitionThanking the people who gave, in a form that quietly encourages the next person to.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.
Team and department awardsRecognizing a group without the cost or ceremony of individual crystal for every person.
Renewal and retention giftsTimed to the contract date rather than the calendar, which is when the recipient is actually paying attention.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. If you are marking five or ten years of someone's working life, the piece has to carry weight. Literally and otherwise. Personalization with the individual's name is what converts a company gift into a personal keepsake, and it is the single highest-leverage decision in a recognition program. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. Give this to the handful of people who genuinely moved the number.

2

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Donors read the gift as a statement about stewardship. Something visibly expensive can cost you more in confidence than it earns in goodwill, which is why restraint and a personal inscription usually outperform scale in this sector. Wall-mounted recognition stays visible to everyone who walks past, not just the recipient. At this price the recipient list should fit on one page.

3

Education, Schools & Universities

Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Student-facing items live rough. They go in backpacks, get left outdoors and are rarely cleaned, so durability matters more than finish. Faculty and donor gifting is the opposite problem and deserves an entirely separate specification. Deep etch sand carving frosts the surface for a bright white mark that photographs well. Laser engraving handles finer detail. Executive tier. Treat the engraving as carefully as the invoice.

4

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Challenge coins, unit recognition, retirement and commendation pieces all carry established conventions. Sourcing compliance and documented lead times usually matter as much as the item itself. The plaque format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. Even at volume it holds $57.66, which tells you what tier this is.

5

Faith & Community Organizations

Faith communities give to mark moments rather than to advertise. These pieces are given once and kept for a lifetime, so the failure mode is not looking cheap but dating badly. Restrained typography and no year-specific styling means the piece still reads well in twenty years. Spend it where the relationship is worth more than the invoice.

What do buyers ask about G2540?

What happens if something arrives damaged?

Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on G2540 is 2 in x 2 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 263 of G2540 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

How long does production take?

Door to door at standard speed: a day for the proof, 3 to 5 business days in production, then 1 to 5 business days in transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes, and it is the right way to brief us. Tell us the date the box has to be open rather than the date you want it shipped, and checkout works the schedule backwards from there. It refuses a date it cannot keep rather than accepting it and missing it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

What artwork do you need from me?

Send vector if it exists, raster at 300 dpi if it does not, and whatever you have if neither. The personalization area on G2540 is 2 in x 2 in, and we redraw or re-proportion anything that will not survive it. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

What is the minimum order for G2540?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on G2540. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on G2540 runs from $93.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $57.66 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
