What is the Football Superstar Medal-Bronze?
Item SS404B is a medal in resin, chosen for how well it takes a mark and how long that mark lasts. It measures 2". This is the bronze colorway.
Casting is what allows shapes, figures, sport-specific sculpts, dimensional forms, that simply cannot be cut from crystal or metal at a comparable price. It is the reason resin dominates youth sport and participation awards. That is the difference between something kept and something replaced.
Medals scale to hundreds of recipients at a cost per person that no other award form matches. Decoration is applied to an engraving plate or a printed plate fitted to the base, not to the sculpt itself. The two together are why this item re-orders.
This is table-stock: priced to be handed out freely. The metric that matters is how many you can put into circulation, not what each one felt like to give. Concretely: $1.80 each at 1-11, $1.12 at 500+.

Artwork requirements
- A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
- Artwork we redraw stays on file under your item number, so the next order runs from the same corrected file.
- Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
- Convert all type to outlines so fonts do not substitute in production.
- Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.

Common uses
Races and tournamentsSpecified regularly for races and tournaments. The imprint area at 1.2 in x 1 in is sized for exactly that job.
School achievementWorks well for school achievement, where the medal format does what a printed handout cannot.
Participation recognitionParticipation recognition is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.
Where this works best
The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.
1
Nonprofit & Fundraising
Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Volunteer recognition is where the money works hardest. Volunteers give time that would otherwise cost you wages, and the marginal cost of thanking them properly is trivial against what their continued involvement is worth. Decoration is applied to an engraving plate or a printed plate fitted to the base, not to the sculpt itself. At $1.80 before breaks it is cheap enough to hand out without counting.
2
Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs
Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Participation medals for the field, distinct pieces for placegetters, and something with real presence for the overall champion. Production timing is usually the binding constraint, so lock artwork well before the event rather than after the results are known. The medal format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. The unit cost here is low enough that reach matters more than restraint.
3
Education, Schools & Universities
Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. Order deep. At this price the waste of a few extra is cheaper than running short.
4
Government, Military & First Responders
This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. Casting is what allows shapes, figures, sport-specific sculpts, dimensional forms, that simply cannot be cut from crystal or metal at a comparable price. Volume is the point at $1.80; nobody is auditing this line item.

What do buyers ask about SS404B?
How is this decorated?
Laser Engraving (plate) is the primary method on SS404B. The engraving plate is lasered, then fitted to the award. A permanent engraved plate on a cast body. We can also run UV Printing (plate) and Sublimated Plate on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on SS404B is 1.2 in x 1 in.
Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?
Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on SS404B runs from $1.80 a piece at 1-11 down to $1.12 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
What happens if something arrives damaged?
We replace damaged pieces. Send a photograph and the item number within 10 days of delivery and we handle the carrier claim ourselves. If the box arrives visibly damaged, write that on the freight bill before signing. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.
Is there a setup charge?
There is no setup charge, ever. Art preparation, machine setup and the proof are part of the price on this page. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.
Do you keep this item in stock?
Yes. The warehouse shows 654 of SS404B in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
