What is the Football Starbrite Medal-Bronze, 2"?
A resin medal, catalogued here as BL209B. The substrate was picked for decoration quality first and appearance second, which is the right order. It measures 2". This is the bronze colorway.
Casting is what allows shapes, figures, sport-specific sculpts, dimensional forms, that simply cannot be cut from crystal or metal at a comparable price. It is the reason resin dominates youth sport and participation awards.
Medals scale to hundreds of recipients at a cost per person that no other award form matches. Decoration is applied to an engraving plate or a printed plate fitted to the base, not to the sculpt itself.
At this level the item is buying attention rather than gratitude. Order enough to be generous with it, because restraint here saves very little and costs reach. Concretely: $2.85 each at 1-11, $1.77 at 500+.

Artwork requirements
- Vector artwork (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) reproduces best at every size and is what we ask for first.
- If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
- Artwork we redraw stays on file under your item number, so the next order runs from the same corrected file.
- Supply Pantone (PMS) references for any color that has to match exactly.
- Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.

Common uses
Races and tournamentsA natural fit for races and tournaments, which is one of the settings this medal was specified for.
School achievementBuilt for school achievement. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Participation recognitionA natural fit for participation recognition, which is one of the settings this medal was specified for.
Employee milestonesAnniversaries, promotions and retirements: the moments where a personalized object does what an email cannot.
Internal contests and incentivesA tangible prize outperforms a gift card for exactly the reason you would expect. It stays on the desk.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.
Recruiting and onboardingIncluded in offer packs and first-day kits, where the object is doing culture work from the very first hour.
Community and civic eventsLocal sponsorships and volunteer thanks, where visible presence matters more than volume.
Where this works best
The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.
1
Education, Schools & Universities
Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. Decoration is applied to an engraving plate or a printed plate fitted to the base, not to the sculpt itself. The unit cost here is low enough that reach matters more than restraint.
2
Government, Military & First Responders
This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. The medal format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. Order deep. At this price the waste of a few extra is cheaper than running short.
3
Nonprofit & Fundraising
Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Recognition pieces for major donors and board members are the clearest win: they are relatively few, they are highly personal, and they materially affect renewal. For event merchandise, price the item to sell rather than to give. Volume is the point at $2.85; nobody is auditing this line item.
4
Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs
Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Awards are read as a hierarchy whether or not you intended one. If the participation piece and the champion piece look similar, the champion feels short-changed, and that is remembered longer than the result. Casting is what allows shapes, figures, sport-specific sculpts, dimensional forms, that simply cannot be cut from crystal or metal at a comparable price. Cost per impression is the number that matters here, and it is very low.

What do buyers ask about BL209B?
How is this decorated?
Laser Engraving (plate) is the primary method on BL209B. The engraving plate is lasered, then fitted to the award. A permanent engraved plate on a cast body. We can also run UV Printing (plate) and Sublimated Plate on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on BL209B is 1.2 in x 1 in.
Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?
Yes, and it is the right way to brief us. Tell us the date the box has to be open rather than the date you want it shipped, and checkout works the schedule backwards from there. It refuses a date it cannot keep rather than accepting it and missing it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
Can I get a sample before committing?
Yes: order one piece. BL209B sells from a single unit at $2.85, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.
Can I order more later and have them match?
Re-orders reproduce rather than reinterpret. We keep the approved artwork on file against the item number, so a re-order runs from the same file. On natural materials the base itself can shift a little between batches, so tell us if an exact match matters. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
What does it actually cost at quantity?
Most orders land near 48-95, which prices at $2.28 a piece. The published ladder on BL209B runs from $2.85 a piece at 1-11 down to $1.77 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.
How long does production take?
Door to door at standard speed: a day for the proof, 3 to 5 business days in production, then 1 to 5 business days in transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.
Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?
Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on BL209B runs from $2.85 a piece at 1-11 down to $1.77 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
What is the minimum order for BL209B?
