What is the Large Crystal Arch with Blue Base?

The Large Crystal Arch with Blue Base is what most buyers mean when they ask for a crystal award that will not look cheap in six months. It measures 10 1/4". This is the blue colorway.

In practice: lead content increases the refractive index, which is the technical reason lead crystal throws more light and looks noticeably more brilliant under display lighting than ordinary glass. It also adds weight, which is a large part of why crystal reads as a premium award.

Crystal is the accepted visual shorthand for "this one mattered", and that is why it remains the default for flagship recognition. On this substrate specifically: sand carving produces the deepest, most tactile mark. Laser engraving is faster and better suited to fine text and small logos.

Flagship recognition. The cost only makes sense against a milestone big enough that people will remember where they were standing. Concretely: $230.00 each at 1-11, $142.60 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 4 in x 4 in.

Sand Carving

Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip.

Best for

Crystal and glass awards where depth and presence matter more than color.

Color

Frosted white, optionally color-filled.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

Color Fill

Engraved or carved recesses are filled with pigment. A permanent engraved mark that reads in brand color rather than substrate color.

Best for

Metal and crystal where the logo must be recognisably on-brand.

Color

Matched to Pantone where the recess allows.

Artwork requirements

  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • If brand color accuracy matters, give us the Pantone numbers rather than a screenshot to match.

Common uses

Executive recognitionBuilt for executive recognition. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Top performer awardsA natural fit for top performer awards, which is one of the settings this crystal award was specified for.
Partner and board recognitionPartner and board recognition is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Team and department awardsRecognizing a group without the cost or ceremony of individual crystal for every person.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Community and civic eventsLocal sponsorships and volunteer thanks, where visible presence matters more than volume.
Recruiting and onboardingIncluded in offer packs and first-day kits, where the object is doing culture work from the very first hour.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. Consistency is what makes a recognition program credible. If a ten year award looks better this year than it did last year, everyone who got last year's version notices. Lock the specification and the supplier, and treat the item list as something you change deliberately rather than annually. Crystal is the accepted visual shorthand for "this one mattered", and that is why it remains the default for flagship recognition. Flagship recognition. One or two of these, not a programme.

2

Financial Services, Insurance & Legal

Professional services sell trust, and the gift has to look like the invoice. Understated materials, restrained decoration and genuine quality all read as competence. Anything that looks cheap actively undermines the positioning, so this segment skews toward crystal, leather and solid desk pieces. Sand carving produces the deepest, most tactile mark. Laser engraving is faster and better suited to fine text and small logos. This is the award people photograph. Budget it as a single line.

3

Corporate Gifting & Client Appreciation

Client gifting has one job: to be kept. Timing beats budget in this segment. The same gift sent a week after a renewal lands completely differently from one sent in December with four hundred others, because in January it is the only thing on the desk. Buy for the calendar you control rather than the one everybody shares. The crystal award format earns its place here on keep-rate rather than headline price. $230.00 before breaks: reserved for the moment that warrants it.

4

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. Bought for the one occasion a year that genuinely earns it.

5

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Recognition pieces for major donors and board members are the clearest win: they are relatively few, they are highly personal, and they materially affect renewal. For event merchandise, price the item to sell rather than to give. Lead content increases the refractive index, which is the technical reason lead crystal throws more light and looks noticeably more brilliant under display lighting than ordinary glass. A centrepiece, not a run. Expect it on display for a decade.

What do buyers ask about CRY2009L?

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

How should this be cared for?

Hand wash only with a soft cloth. Never dishwasher. CRY2009L measures 10 1/4" and is made of crystal. Lead content increases the refractive index, which is the technical reason lead crystal throws more light and looks noticeably more brilliant under display lighting than ordinary glass.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on CRY2009L is 4 in x 4 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 79 of CRY2009L in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Can I mix colors or sizes to reach a quantity break?

Yes, provided the artwork stays the same across the run. Different artwork is fine as well: it gets its own proof, and setup stays free. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The published ladder on CRY2009L runs from $230.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $142.60 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.

Can I order more later and have them match?

Re-orders reproduce rather than reinterpret. We keep the approved artwork on file against the item number, so a re-order runs from the same file. On natural materials the base itself can shift a little between batches, so tell us if an exact match matters. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

Can I see a proof before you produce the order?

Always, and we do not start without written approval. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing. Once approved, the proof becomes the specification for the run, so check the spelling and the placement carefully. The personalization area on CRY2009L is 4 in x 4 in.

What is the minimum order for CRY2009L?

CRY2009L can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on CRY2009L runs from $230.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $142.60 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on CRY2009L is 4 in x 4 in.
