What is the Large Diamond Horizon Glass with Black Base?
A working glass award. Annealed glass with polished edges and a clear, even body. It measures 9 3/4". This is the black colorway.
Glass gives you most of the visual authority of crystal at a materially lower cost, which is what makes it the practical choice when you are recognizing a whole team rather than one person..
Glass delivers most of the presence of crystal at a price that lets you recognize a whole team. Deep etch sand carving frosts the surface for a bright white mark that photographs well. Laser engraving handles finer detail. The two together are why this item re-orders.
This is relationship spend. Key accounts, long service, the people who genuinely moved a number: the list should be short and every piece should carry a name. Concretely: $105.00 each at 1-11, $65.10 at 500+.

Decoration options
The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 3.75 in x 4 in.
Sand Carving
Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip.
Crystal and glass awards where depth and presence matter more than color.
Frosted white, optionally color-filled.
Laser Engraving
A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.
Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.
Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.
UV Printing
UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.
Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.
Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.
Artwork requirements
- Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
- Convert all type to outlines so fonts do not substitute in production.
- A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
- Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.
- Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.
- We send a digital proof for written approval before production starts. Nothing goes on a machine until you sign it off.
Production schedule
| Digital proof | Same or next business day |
|---|---|
| Standard run | 3 to 5 business days once the proof is signed off |
| Rush run | quoted per job once the proof is signed off, with the date confirmed in writing |
| Delivery | 1 to 5 business days on the ground network |
Common uses
Where this works best
The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.
Employee Recognition & Service Awards
Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. If you are marking five or ten years of someone's working life, the piece has to carry weight. Literally and otherwise. Personalization with the individual's name is what converts a company gift into a personal keepsake, and it is the single highest-leverage decision in a recognition program. Glass gives you most of the visual authority of crystal at a materially lower cost, which is what makes it the practical choice when you are recognizing a whole team rather than one person.. This is a shortlist item. Individual personalisation is expected at this level.
Education, Schools & Universities
Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. $105.00 before breaks buys something that stays on a desk for years.
Nonprofit & Fundraising
Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Volunteer recognition is where the money works hardest. Volunteers give time that would otherwise cost you wages, and the marginal cost of thanking them properly is trivial against what their continued involvement is worth. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. Give this to the handful of people who genuinely moved the number.
Corporate Gifting & Client Appreciation
Client gifting has one job: to be kept. A gift that lands on a client desk and stays there keeps working long after the meeting that prompted it. That argues for fewer, better pieces rather than a large volume of disposables, and for decoration that will still look intentional in two years. An imprint area of 3.75 in x 4 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. At this price the recipient list should fit on one page.
Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs
Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Awards are read as a hierarchy whether or not you intended one. If the participation piece and the champion piece look similar, the champion feels short-changed, and that is remembered longer than the result. Executive tier. Treat the engraving as carefully as the invoice.

What do buyers ask about HGL13?
What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?
The personalization area on HGL13 is 3.75 in x 4 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.
Can I see a proof before you produce the order?
Yes, and nothing runs until you have signed it off. Read it properly rather than skimming, because the approved proof is the specification we produce against. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
How is this decorated?
We run sand carving on HGL13 as standard. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip. We can also run Laser Engraving and UV Printing on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on HGL13 is 3.75 in x 4 in. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.
How long does production take?
Door to door at standard speed: a day for the proof, 3 to 5 business days in production, then 1 to 5 business days in transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.
Do you ship to multiple addresses?
Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.
What artwork do you need from me?
Vector artwork is ideal (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) with all type converted to outlines. High-resolution raster at 300 dpi or better also works, and a logo saved from a website is worth sending anyway. We check it against the 3.75 in x 4 in personalization area and tell you before you pay whether it holds up at that size.
What happens if something arrives damaged?
Tell us within 10 days of delivery and we replace it. Note any damage on the freight bill before you sign for it, because that is what the carrier claim turns on. Resolving it with the carrier is our job, not yours. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.
What is the minimum order for HGL13?
HGL13 can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on HGL13 runs from $105.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $65.10 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on HGL13 is 3.75 in x 4 in.
