What is the Red Leatherette Hex Patch, 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"?

This patch is made from laserable polyurethane leatherette bonded to a contrasting core. It measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". This is the red colorway.

Leatherette solves the two problems real leather has as a promotional substrate: it is consistent from unit to unit, so a hundred pieces look like a hundred of the same piece, and it does not absorb moisture, stain, or fray at cut edges.

Patches let one apparel blank serve many teams, departments or locations. This is one of the highest-contrast decoration surfaces in the industry. The laser removes the top layer and reveals the core color underneath, so the logo appears as a crisp, permanent, two-tone mark with no ink and nothing to wear off.

This is table-stock: priced to be handed out freely. The metric that matters is how many you can put into circulation, not what each one felt like to give. Concretely: $3.00 each at 1-11, $1.86 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 2.1 in x 1.25 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

Debossing

A heated die presses the artwork into the material. A subtle, tactile, recessed impression in the surface color.

Best for

Leather and leatherette gifts where understatement is the point.

Color

Blind (no color) or foil-filled.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • If brand color accuracy matters, give us the Pantone numbers rather than a screenshot to match.
  • We send a digital proof for written approval before production starts. Nothing goes on a machine until you sign it off.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.
  • Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.

Common uses

Uniform programsSpecified regularly for uniform programs. The imprint area at 2.1 in x 1.25 in is sized for exactly that job.
Team and club identityBuilt for team and club identity. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Apparel customisationA natural fit for apparel customisation, which is one of the settings this patch was specified for.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.
Sponsorship and partner thanksGiven to the people who funded or enabled the work, in a form they can keep visible.
Internal contests and incentivesA tangible prize outperforms a gift card for exactly the reason you would expect. It stays on the desk.
Customer loyalty tiersA physical marker of status that an account dashboard cannot replicate.
Community and civic eventsLocal sponsorships and volunteer thanks, where visible presence matters more than volume.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. The order arrives before the results do, which means engraving strategy is the real decision. Generic plates with a separate engraved insert let you produce early and personalize late, and that is usually the difference between hitting the date and missing it. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. The unit cost here is low enough that reach matters more than restraint.

2

Franchise & Multi-Location Brands

The hard problem in multi-location branding is consistency, not creativity. A single approved item list, locked artwork and a repeatable re-order path stop forty locations producing forty versions of the logo. Stocked programs with fixed pricing are what make that governable. An imprint area of 2.1 in x 1.25 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. Order deep. At this price the waste of a few extra is cheaper than running short.

3

Construction, Trades & Field Services

On a job site, an item survives or it disappears. Crews compare what they were given. Handing out two grades of the same item across a site causes more friction than giving nothing at all, so buy one specification deep rather than two shallow. Volume is the point at $3.00; nobody is auditing this line item.

4

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. Cost per impression is the number that matters here, and it is very low.

What do buyers ask about PTH241?

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. PTH241 sells from a single unit at $3.00, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

How long does production take?

Door to door at standard speed: a day for the proof, 3 to 5 business days in production, then 1 to 5 business days in transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

Is there a setup charge?

There is no setup charge, ever. Art preparation, machine setup and the proof are part of the price on this page. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

Can I see a proof before you produce the order?

Always, and we do not start without written approval. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing. Once approved, the proof becomes the specification for the run, so check the spelling and the placement carefully. The personalization area on PTH241 is 2.1 in x 1.25 in.

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

What does it actually cost at quantity?

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 889 of PTH241 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

What is the minimum order for PTH241?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on PTH241. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises.
