What is the Walnut Quartz Clock, Brass Diamond Spun Bezel, Glass Lens, Ivory Dial, Plate?

Item BC380 is a desk clock in glass, chosen for how well it takes a mark and how long that mark lasts. It measures 10 1/2" x 13". This is the ivory colorway.

Glass gives you most of the visual authority of crystal at a materially lower cost, which is what makes it the practical choice when you are recognizing a whole team rather than one person..

A clock is looked at deliberately, several times a day, for years. Deep etch sand carving frosts the surface for a bright white mark that photographs well. Laser engraving handles finer detail.

A centerpiece rather than a program. Budget it as an event cost, because that is what it is, and expect it to be photographed. Concretely: $330.00 each at 1-11, $204.60 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 9 in x 10 in.

Sand Carving

Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip.

Best for

Crystal and glass awards where depth and presence matter more than color.

Color

Frosted white, optionally color-filled.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Vector artwork (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) reproduces best at every size and is what we ask for first.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
  • Supply Pantone (PMS) references for any color that has to match exactly.
  • Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.

Common uses

Retirement giftsWorks well for retirement gifts, where the desk clock format does what a printed handout cannot.
Long-service awardsLong-service awards is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Executive giftingExecutive gifting is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.
Fundraising and donor recognitionThanking the people who gave, in a form that quietly encourages the next person to.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.
Recruiting and onboardingIncluded in offer packs and first-day kits, where the object is doing culture work from the very first hour.
Sponsorship and partner thanksGiven to the people who funded or enabled the work, in a form they can keep visible.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. A centrepiece, not a run. Expect it on display for a decade.

2

Corporate Gifting & Client Appreciation

Client gifting has one job: to be kept. A gift that lands on a client desk and stays there keeps working long after the meeting that prompted it. That argues for fewer, better pieces rather than a large volume of disposables, and for decoration that will still look intentional in two years. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. The piece the room looks at. Price it as an event cost, not merchandise.

3

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. The presentation matters as much as the piece. An award handed over in a hallway is worth a fraction of the same award presented in front of the team, which means the object should be specified for the moment it will be photographed in, not the shelf it ends on. An imprint area of 9 in x 10 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. This is the one people stand next to in the photograph.

4

Financial Services, Insurance & Legal

Professional services sell trust, and the gift has to look like the invoice. The gift is often opened in front of colleagues, so it is judged as a signal about the relationship rather than as an object. Understatement is the safe default, and a name engraved properly does more than any material upgrade. Reserved for a milestone big enough to justify the line item on its own.

What do buyers ask about BC380?

What artwork do you need from me?

Send vector if it exists, raster at 300 dpi if it does not, and whatever you have if neither. The personalization area on BC380 is 9 in x 10 in, and we redraw or re-proportion anything that will not survive it. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

How is this decorated?

Sand Carving is the primary method on BC380. Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip. We can also run Laser Engraving and UV Printing on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on BC380 is 9 in x 10 in.

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. BC380 sells from a single unit at $330.00, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?

Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

We replace damaged pieces. Send a photograph and the item number within 10 days of delivery and we handle the carrier claim ourselves. If the box arrives visibly damaged, write that on the freight bill before signing. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

How long does production take?

Door to door at standard speed: a day for the proof, 3 to 5 business days in production, then 1 to 5 business days in transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

What is the minimum order for BC380?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on BC380. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on BC380 runs from $330.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $204.60 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
