What is the Art Glass Vase, 11 1/4"?

Art Glass Vase, 11 1/4" (VAS105): a presentation vase where Annealed glass with polished edges and a clear, even body does most of the work. It measures 11 1/4".

In practice: glass gives you most of the visual authority of crystal at a materially lower cost, which is what makes it the practical choice when you are recognizing a whole team rather than one person..

A vase is used rather than shelved, which keeps the recognition visible long after the ceremony. Deep etch sand carving frosts the surface for a bright white mark that photographs well. Laser engraving handles finer detail. The two together are why this item re-orders.

This is a flagship piece. It is bought for the one or two moments a year that genuinely warrant it, and it is expected to be on display for years afterwards. Concretely: $297.00 each at 1-11, $184.14 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 4 in x 4 in.

Sand Carving

Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip.

Best for

Crystal and glass awards where depth and presence matter more than color.

Color

Frosted white, optionally color-filled.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
  • Supply Pantone (PMS) references for any color that has to match exactly.
  • Send the file you have, even if it is imperfect. We will tell you honestly whether it will hold up and redraw it if it will not.
  • If brand color accuracy matters, give us the Pantone numbers rather than a screenshot to match.
  • Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.

Common uses

Executive giftingWorks well for executive gifting, where the presentation vase format does what a printed handout cannot.
Retirement and milestone recognitionBuilt for retirement and milestone recognition. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Donor thanksDonor thanks is where this earns its cost, and where buyers re-order it.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.
Service anniversariesFive, ten and twenty years. The object marks the span in a way a announcement never manages.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.
Safety and quality milestonesMarking a record that took every person on the floor to achieve, with something they can point at.
Recruiting and onboardingIncluded in offer packs and first-day kits, where the object is doing culture work from the very first hour.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Nonprofit & Fundraising

Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Volunteer recognition is where the money works hardest. Volunteers give time that would otherwise cost you wages, and the marginal cost of thanking them properly is trivial against what their continued involvement is worth. Reserved for a milestone big enough to justify the line item on its own.

2

Financial Services, Insurance & Legal

Professional services sell trust, and the gift has to look like the invoice. Understated materials, restrained decoration and genuine quality all read as competence. Anything that looks cheap actively undermines the positioning, so this segment skews toward crystal, leather and solid desk pieces. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. At $297.00 before breaks this is a once-a-year piece.

3

Employee Recognition & Service Awards

Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. The presentation matters as much as the piece. An award handed over in a hallway is worth a fraction of the same award presented in front of the team, which means the object should be specified for the moment it will be photographed in, not the shelf it ends on. A vase is used rather than shelved, which keeps the recognition visible long after the ceremony. Flagship recognition. One or two of these, not a programme.

4

Corporate Gifting & Client Appreciation

Client gifting has one job: to be kept. The recipient is rarely the decision maker you are trying to reach, which is the part most programs get wrong. Choose something that will sit in a shared space rather than a drawer, and the gift starts working on people who were never on your list. Deep etch sand carving frosts the surface for a bright white mark that photographs well. Laser engraving handles finer detail. This is the award people photograph. Budget it as a single line.

What do buyers ask about VAS105?

Do you keep this item in stock?

Stock on VAS105 is confirmed when you order. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

How should this be cared for?

Hand wash recommended. Avoid thermal shock. VAS105 measures 11 1/4" and is made of glass. Glass gives you most of the visual authority of crystal at a materially lower cost, which is what makes it the practical choice when you are recognizing a whole team rather than one person.

Is there a setup charge?

There is no setup charge, ever. Art preparation, machine setup and the proof are part of the price on this page. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. VAS105 sells from a single unit at $297.00, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

What artwork do you need from me?

Send vector if it exists, raster at 300 dpi if it does not, and whatever you have if neither. The personalization area on VAS105 is 4 in x 4 in, and we redraw or re-proportion anything that will not survive it. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

We replace damaged pieces. Send a photograph and the item number within 10 days of delivery and we handle the carrier claim ourselves. If the box arrives visibly damaged, write that on the freight bill before signing. The replacement runs from the artwork you already approved, so it matches the rest of the order.

How long does production take?

Door to door at standard speed: a day for the proof, 3 to 5 business days in production, then 1 to 5 business days in transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.

What is the minimum order for VAS105?

VAS105 can be ordered from a single piece. The published ladder on VAS105 runs from $297.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $184.14 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. There is no setup fee at any quantity. The personalization area on VAS105 is 4 in x 4 in.

  • The personalization area is 4 in by 4 in. Engraving is charged on the share your artwork actually covers, so a smaller logo costs less. Place yours on the product above and the price updates as you size it.
  • At 50 pieces this costs less than 3% of the 610 other priced items in Crystal & Glass. It sits at the dearer end of that range, which is usually the material rather than the margin.
  • Setup is free at every quantity, including 1.
