What is the Hex Burlap Sublimatable Patch with Adhesive, 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"?

Hex Burlap Sublimatable Patch with Adhesive, 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". A patch in quality materials, specified for decoration and for daily use rather than for a display shelf. It measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/2".

Built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer. That is the difference between something kept and something replaced.

Patches let one apparel blank serve many teams, departments or locations. On this substrate specifically: decoration method is matched to the substrate so the mark is permanent rather than printed on top.

At this level the item is buying attention rather than gratitude. Order enough to be generous with it, because restraint here saves very little and costs reach. Concretely: $3.24 each at 1-11, $2.01 at 500+.

Decoration options

The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 2.1 in x 1.25 in.

Laser Engraving

A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.

Best for

Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.

Color

Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.

Best for

Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.

Color

Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.

Artwork requirements

  • Nothing is produced before you approve a proof in writing. That is a hard rule, not a courtesy.
  • If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
  • Vector files are the safe option. They hold their edges whether the mark runs at an inch or a foot.
  • Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
  • Supply Pantone (PMS) references for any color that has to match exactly.
  • Send vector if you have it. A .ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg scales to any imprint without softening.

Common uses

Uniform programsBuilt for uniform programs. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Team and club identityBuilt for team and club identity. That is the use case the format was designed around, not one retrofitted to it.
Apparel customisationSpecified regularly for apparel customisation. The imprint area at 2.1 in x 1.25 in is sized for exactly that job.
Event and conference giftingHanded to qualified conversations rather than to everyone, so the spend goes where the pipeline is.
Renewal and retention giftsTimed to the contract date rather than the calendar, which is when the recipient is actually paying attention.
Booth and trade show handoutsThe item that gives someone a reason to stop walking, and a reason to remember which booth it came from.
Client thank-you programsSent after a renewal, a referral or a project close, when the relationship is warm and the gesture will land.

Where this works best

The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.

1

Construction, Trades & Field Services

On a job site, an item survives or it disappears. The item has to survive a truck bed in July and a tailgate in January. Thermal performance and impact resistance are the specification; everything else in this segment is decoration on top of that. Built to survive real use rather than a single event, that is what separates a promotional item that keeps working from one that ends up in a drawer.. Down to $2.01 at volume, which is where this stops being a cost.

2

Government, Military & First Responders

This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Challenge coins, unit recognition, retirement and commendation pieces all carry established conventions. Sourcing compliance and documented lead times usually matter as much as the item itself. Buy for coverage. The arithmetic rewards it and the budget will not notice.

3

Sports Leagues, Tournaments & Clubs

Sport needs volume, deadlines and a clear hierarchy of awards. Awards are read as a hierarchy whether or not you intended one. If the participation piece and the champion piece look similar, the champion feels short-changed, and that is remembered longer than the result. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. At $3.24 before breaks it is cheap enough to hand out without counting.

4

Franchise & Multi-Location Brands

The hard problem in multi-location branding is consistency, not creativity. Artwork drift is cumulative and invisible until it is severe. A locked file held centrally against each item number, rather than a logo emailed between locations, is what stops forty sites gradually producing forty logos. An imprint area of 2.1 in x 1.25 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. The unit cost here is low enough that reach matters more than restraint.

What do buyers ask about PTH242?

How is this decorated?

We run laser engraving on PTH242 as standard. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved. We can also run UV Printing on this item if the artwork calls for it. The personalization area on PTH242 is 2.1 in x 1.25 in. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.

What artwork do you need from me?

Vector artwork is ideal (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) with all type converted to outlines. High-resolution raster at 300 dpi or better also works, and a logo saved from a website is worth sending anyway. We check it against the 2.1 in x 1.25 in personalization area and tell you before you pay whether it holds up at that size.

Do you ship to multiple addresses?

Yes, through a quote. Card checkout ships one order to one address, so for a split run send the address list with a quote request and we confirm the freight for every destination in writing before you pay. The artwork is proofed once and applied across the whole run. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

Can I get a sample before committing?

Yes: order one piece. PTH242 sells from a single unit at $3.24, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.

What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?

The personalization area on PTH242 is 2.1 in x 1.25 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.

What does it actually cost at quantity?

The published ladder on PTH242 runs from $3.24 a piece at 1-11 down to $2.01 at 500+, about 38% less per piece. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.

Do you keep this item in stock?

Yes. The warehouse shows 994 of PTH242 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.

What is the minimum order for PTH242?

There is no minimum beyond one piece on PTH242. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on PTH242 runs from $3.24 a piece at 1-11 down to $2.01 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
