What is the Medium Crystal Wedge?
The Medium Crystal Wedge is what most buyers mean when they ask for a crystal award that will not look cheap in six months. It measures 5" x 7".
In practice: lead content increases the refractive index, which is the technical reason lead crystal throws more light and looks noticeably more brilliant under display lighting than ordinary glass. It also adds weight, which is a large part of why crystal reads as a premium award.
Crystal is the accepted visual shorthand for "this one mattered", and that is why it remains the default for flagship recognition. Sand carving produces the deepest, most tactile mark. Laser engraving is faster and better suited to fine text and small logos.
Flagship recognition. The cost only makes sense against a milestone big enough that people will remember where they were standing. Concretely: $187.00 each at 1-11, $115.94 at 500+.

Decoration options
The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 3.9 in x 4 in.
Sand Carving
Abrasive is blasted through a cut mask to cut into the surface of the glass or crystal. A deep, frosted, dimensional mark you can feel with a fingertip.
Crystal and glass awards where depth and presence matter more than color.
Frosted white, optionally color-filled.
Laser Engraving
A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.
Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.
Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.
Color Fill
Engraved or carved recesses are filled with pigment. A permanent engraved mark that reads in brand color rather than substrate color.
Metal and crystal where the logo must be recognisably on-brand.
Matched to Pantone where the recess allows.
Artwork requirements
- Convert all type to outlines so fonts do not substitute in production.
- If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.
- A 300 dpi raster at the actual imprint dimensions will run cleanly. Anything pulled from a web page usually will not.
- Do not spend a week hunting for the perfect file. Send what exists and we will tell you what is usable.
- Type should be converted to curves or outlines, otherwise a missing font silently substitutes on our end.
Production schedule

Common uses
Where this works best
The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.
Technology, SaaS & Startups
Distributed teams have no office to carry the culture, so the objects have to. Shipping is the hidden cost and the hidden failure. An item that arrives damaged or takes three weeks to reach a remote hire does the opposite of what it was bought for, so pack weight and carrier reliability belong in the specification. A centrepiece, not a run. Expect it on display for a decade.
Employee Recognition & Service Awards
Recognition fails when the object does not match the words. Consistency is what makes a recognition program credible. If a ten year award looks better this year than it did last year, everyone who got last year's version notices. Lock the specification and the supplier, and treat the item list as something you change deliberately rather than annually. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. The piece the room looks at. Price it as an event cost, not merchandise.
Financial Services, Insurance & Legal
Professional services sell trust, and the gift has to look like the invoice. Understated materials, restrained decoration and genuine quality all read as competence. Anything that looks cheap actively undermines the positioning, so this segment skews toward crystal, leather and solid desk pieces. An imprint area of 3.9 in x 4 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. This is the one people stand next to in the photograph.
Corporate Gifting & Client Appreciation
Client gifting has one job: to be kept. Timing beats budget in this segment. The same gift sent a week after a renewal lands completely differently from one sent in December with four hundred others, because in January it is the only thing on the desk. Buy for the calendar you control rather than the one everybody shares. Reserved for a milestone big enough to justify the line item on its own.
Government, Military & First Responders
This segment is precise about protocol and unforgiving about quality. Protocol governs the object. Placement of insignia, order of precedence on a plaque and the wording of a commendation are conventions rather than preferences, and getting them wrong is the one error this segment does not overlook. At $187.00 before breaks this is a once-a-year piece.
Nonprofit & Fundraising
Every pound spent on a donor gift is a pound not spent on the mission, so the gift has to earn it. Recognition pieces for major donors and board members are the clearest win: they are relatively few, they are highly personal, and they materially affect renewal. For event merchandise, price the item to sell rather than to give. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. Flagship recognition. One or two of these, not a programme.

What do buyers ask about CRY2003M?
How should this be cared for?
Hand wash only with a soft cloth. Never dishwasher. CRY2003M measures 5" x 7" and is made of crystal. Lead content increases the refractive index, which is the technical reason lead crystal throws more light and looks noticeably more brilliant under display lighting than ordinary glass.
Is there a setup charge?
No. Setup is free on every order at every quantity. Art preparation, machine setup and your digital proof are built into the price, with nothing added for them later. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout.
What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?
The personalization area on CRY2003M is 3.9 in x 4 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.
Do you keep this item in stock?
Yes. The warehouse shows 209 of CRY2003M in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
Can I see a proof before you produce the order?
Yes, and nothing runs until you have signed it off. Read it properly rather than skimming, because the approved proof is the specification we produce against. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?
Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.
