What is the Purple Leatherette Journal?
This journal is made from laserable polyurethane leatherette bonded to a contrasting core. It measures 5 1/4" x 8 1/4". This is the purple colorway.
In practice: leatherette solves the two problems real leather has as a promotional substrate: it is consistent from unit to unit, so a hundred pieces look like a hundred of the same piece, and it does not absorb moisture, stain, or fray at cut edges..
This is one of the highest-contrast decoration surfaces in the industry. The laser removes the top layer and reveals the core color underneath, so the logo appears as a crisp, permanent, two-tone mark with no ink and nothing to wear off. A journal is carried into meetings, which puts the logo in front of third parties rather than only the recipient.
At this price you are buying a reaction rather than an impression. That only works if the list is short enough for the gesture to feel deliberate. Concretely: $26.00 each at 1-11, $16.12 at 500+.

Decoration options
The decoration method is chosen to match the substrate, which is why the mark is permanent rather than printed on top of it. Standard imprint area on this item is 3.15 in x 4.13 in.
Laser Engraving
A focused laser removes the surface layer to expose the substrate beneath. A permanent, high-contrast, single-color mark with no ink involved.
Logos, names, dates and fine text. The default choice when the mark has to outlive the campaign.
Single color: the natural color of the material under the surface.
Debossing
A heated die presses the artwork into the material. A subtle, tactile, recessed impression in the surface color.
Leather and leatherette gifts where understatement is the point.
Blind (no color) or foil-filled.
UV Printing
UV-cured ink is jetted directly onto the product and cured instantly under ultraviolet light. Full-color, photographic-quality artwork with hard edges and no dot gain.
Multi-color logos, gradients, photographs and exact brand-color matching.
Full color, including white ink on dark substrates.
Artwork requirements
- We send a digital proof for written approval before production starts. Nothing goes on a machine until you sign it off.
- Name the PMS values for anything that has to match a brand standard; screen color is not a reliable reference.
- Outline your fonts before sending. It removes the most common cause of a proof coming back wrong.
- Raster artwork should be at least 300 dpi at the finished imprint size, on a transparent or white background.
- Vector artwork (.ai, .eps, .pdf or .svg) reproduces best at every size and is what we ask for first.
- If the logo is only available as a bitmap, we need it at 300 dpi or better at final size, ideally on a transparent background.

Common uses
Where this works best
The same item lands differently depending on who gets it and why. Here is how this one performs across the programs it sells into most.
Technology, SaaS & Startups
Distributed teams have no office to carry the culture, so the objects have to. Company swag competes with genuinely good consumer products for the same desk space, and it usually loses. The piece has to be something the recipient would plausibly have bought, or it becomes a donation to a charity shop. Decoration holds up in this setting, which is where cheaper substrates fail. Volume takes it to $16.12, which widens the list without cheapening it.
Onboarding & New Hire Kits
Day one sets the tone for everything after it. A welcome kit waiting on a desk, or arriving at a home address before a remote start, is the cheapest culture signal an employer can buy. Items that get used daily do the most work here, because they keep signalling belonging long after week one. An imprint area of 3.15 in x 4.13 in is enough for a logo and a line of text without crowding. The gesture is the product here. Spend the thought, not just the budget.
Trade Shows & Conferences
Booth traffic is not the metric: what leaves the hall and stays in use is. Weight and packability decide what actually leaves the hall. Anything bulky ends up in a hotel bin regardless of quality, so the constraint is what fits in a carry-on alongside everything else collected that day. At $26.00 before breaks, name the recipients rather than filling a table.
Financial Services, Insurance & Legal
Professional services sell trust, and the gift has to look like the invoice. The gift is often opened in front of colleagues, so it is judged as a signal about the relationship rather than as an object. Understatement is the safe default, and a name engraved properly does more than any material upgrade. This reads as a gift. Give it to people you chose, not people who walked past.
Corporate Gifting & Client Appreciation
Client gifting has one job: to be kept. A gift that lands on a client desk and stays there keeps working long after the meeting that prompted it. That argues for fewer, better pieces rather than a large volume of disposables, and for decoration that will still look intentional in two years. Minimum order is a single piece, which suits how this segment tends to buy. Worth personalising individually at this price; the response rate justifies it.
Education, Schools & Universities
Education buys in waves: orientation, homecoming, graduation, staff appreciation. Departments buy separately even when the brand is shared, which is how a university ends up with nine versions of its own crest. A single approved item list with locked artwork solves more than any individual purchasing decision will. A journal is carried into meetings, which puts the logo in front of third parties rather than only the recipient. $26.00 before breaks puts this above hand-out territory. Use it that way.

What do buyers ask about GFT931?
What if the artwork does not fit the imprint area?
The personalization area on GFT931 is 3.15 in x 4.13 in. If your mark does not sit well in that shape we redraw or re-proportion it and show you the result on the proof before anything is produced. Engraving is charged on the share of the area your artwork covers, so a smaller mark costs less.
Is there a setup charge?
There is no setup charge, ever. Art preparation, machine setup and the proof are part of the price on this page. Engraving is a separate line, shown per quantity in the cost table on this page, so the all-in figure is visible before checkout. Ground freight is free on orders over $250.
Can you work to a fixed in-hand date?
Yes. Give us the in-hand date and checkout tells you immediately whether standard production makes it. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit. A rush is quoted per job, with the date confirmed in writing before you pay.
What artwork do you need from me?
Send vector if it exists, raster at 300 dpi if it does not, and whatever you have if neither. The personalization area on GFT931 is 3.15 in x 4.13 in, and we redraw or re-proportion anything that will not survive it. A free digital proof comes back within one business day of usable artwork, and nothing is produced until you approve it in writing.
Can I see a proof before you produce the order?
Yes, and nothing runs until you have signed it off. Read it properly rather than skimming, because the approved proof is the specification we produce against. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
Can I get a sample before committing?
Yes: order one piece. GFT931 sells from a single unit at $26.00, the first rung of its published ladder, so a sample is simply a normal order. A decorated single piece goes through the same proof as a full run.
Do you keep this item in stock?
Yes. The warehouse shows 834 of GFT931 in stock as of the last hourly sync. If a color is short we say so the day you order rather than the week before the deadline. Standard production is 3 to 5 business days after proof approval, then 1 to 5 business days of ground transit.
What is the minimum order for GFT931?
There is no minimum beyond one piece on GFT931. Price breaks on this item fall at 1-11, 12-23, 24-47, 48-95, 96-249, 250-499, 500+. The price per piece only goes down as the quantity rises. The published ladder on GFT931 runs from $26.00 a piece at 1-11 down to $16.12 at 500+, about 38% less per piece.
